@@arielsea9087 It's the same way across the whole country. MA is just more accountable than most areas. People actually care about that sort of thing there. In red states the same things happen but it gets swept under the carpet more easily. It's groupthink and cronyism that creates a subculture of corruption and abuse of power. You should listen to Beau of the Fifth some time, who once trained officers in Florida. When one of them said to him, "but.... we write the reports" and the other cops nodded along, that's when he decided to stop training cops. The corruption is fairly out in the open. Or is there just a dog and pony show to create the impression w/o substance. I think all that we need to do is find auditors who have been confronted by cops on cam. There are 2 people in jail for every cop on the road and we have the largest prison population in the world by like 4x the next highest. That's nearly a million cops. There are towns with 1000 people and like 60 cops, WTF is that about? So they really need to drop 80% of the town's budget on creeps in weird hats harassing people because they're bored?

Have you ever heard a politician put forward a bill that would reform the traffic ticket system? The revenue goes to fund the local courts and police departments. They have a vested interest in continuing to generate revenue. Why do cops on patrol write so many tickets? It’s not because they think it’s fun or they want to hassle people. No, it’s because there is a quota system of some type in place. Didn’t meet your moving violation “goal” (quota)? Okay, you’ll be working midnights starting next quarter. Put the blame where it belongs … police chiefs and local politicians.

Simple, make the instructors pay for all the lawsuits- personally. If they have kids, put them in foster care until they get a different job, pay all lawsuits in full, and have the victims /and families sign off on approval to have the kids returned. Police misconduct will be a thing of past in about 2 years.

When a cop is being accused by citizens it take years for an investigation to be done. Even the cops investigating another cop will be more inclined to sway in that cop investigated, they will look more into the victims past, work, family etc. That victim will have to be squeaky clean for years to come because the slight mistake they might do. the blue gang members will pounce on them with everything they got at their disposal. A citizen like Long Island audits who investigate public officials, mayors, cops, has been arrested just for asking questions to or about them, cops have tried to make up false charges, lie on the report of events etc, and all have been dismissed or not prosecuted by D.A.'s. When journalists are being tried to be silenced it shows that the blue line gang has gone too far and politicians and law makers should be looking into it!!!! But you also have to think that they aren't squeaky clean either, or one of their family members, have a DUI, drug charge etc that had been made to disappear or not reported. No one is perfect but cops have the power of government behind them, paid lawyers, D.A.'s, for free to them and can write corruption into laws and make it look legal in the end. Are steroids illegal in the USA?? Why are there so many cops on them??? And are they still be police officers??

Interesting obviously but…. I’d really like a inside investigation about: What it takes to Pass a training academy for certification. Are there tests with minimum scores to pass? (Since the academy receives money to train, do they ‘pass’ all tests?) Is a set amount of attendance required? (Or is it simply that if you sign up, you will pass?) Too often PDs have given the excuse that an officer is ‘still in training’. Referring to on the job training. But that should be fine tuning training the rookie has already received at the academy. Training that seems impossible in the ridiculously short 6 months academy time. But not truly surprising considering that law enforcement endorses cops as ‘Expert’ at ______, because the cop participated in a 2 hr course to be certified an ‘Expert _____’ (like expert DUI investigator, expert speed enforcer, etc).
