Question about your history on Lady Wu, wikipedia mentions her being orphaned and living with her brother, though maintains the "family doesn't like the match" part, so presumably it's the extended family being upset in that case. I realize wikipedia is wikipedia so my question is honestly more "is wikipedia using more legendary sources in the history section?"

Well Wikipedia is actually considered a reputable site these days since they always provide sources for their information. I would check the page again and see where that source is from

It would be her extended family. Orphaned gives off the wrong connotation here as clans tend to live together back then and she and her younger brother Wu Jing would have just lived with her relatives after her father Wu Hui and her mother passed. Her father was pretty highly ranked in the military and was the administrator of Dan Yang and her other relatives were definitely well off and would treat her and her brother well.

So Sun Jian had 5 other kids. What happened to them? Did they all die young, did they all went away during the three kingdoms era, or it it a matter of no recorded history on them?

Their lives were recorded. Some died in battle other lived as administrators. The girls were all married off to powerful clans too. We will eventually get to cover them one day too. This story here will remain focused on Sun Jian for now.

Farmer's son? I thought the Sun family were pretty well off merchants? I would have thought that should at least qualify them as being middle class.

Farming wasn’t a bad social status. In Confucius cultures merchants were actually of a lower class and land owning farmers were not see as just peasants. But as we mentioned in our first episode, Sun Zhong was a simple melon farmer (or some sort of farmer) and their family was not considered wealthy or powerful.
