I'm right there with him. I have depression issues and have had them for over 15 years. I'm just saying that sometimes it actually makes me feel good to see that someone is willing to take a stand and not let things get buried. That's just in my case, though. Everyone is different and takes things differently. Serj is one of the people that doesn't want to let things get by everyone. That's why I like his music.

I don't know if this is true, but I think the fact that someone is willing to point out the issues, rather than ignore them, is what gives him hope. We live in a fucked up world, If everyone just ignores the issues, nothing will change. Serj is pointing out the issues so we can do something. The fact that someone is willing to take a stand can be empowering, even if we don't know that person on a personal level. Like I said, I don't know the dude, but that's just one theory I came up with.
