The use of the imagery in this video was amazing. My interpretation of what each meant : Clock : Life is limited Gator : Evil (right inside our homes) Gator : Anger Television on Lap : recognizing humanitarian issues. Cross-Dressing : double-standards of civilization and political interpretation Eyes on eyelids : We are always looking at the world but remain blind to the truths and atrocities of life. great song Serj and thank you for raising your voice! You have opened my eyes.

Well that's why SOAD Self-Titled, Toxicity, and Steal This Album have interesting lyric, because it's all Serj's. Even in their last two albums, some weirdly interesting (or nonsensical lol) or deep/political has serj's handiwork and it's the best

Tanto si eres hombre o mujer, tu tiempo vale mucho! Saludos!

So if we look back to his SOAD days, part of this song features a distorted version of Daron's "Streamline" guitar solo from their album "Steal This Album!" Maybe this is what Serj first envisioned for Streamline? Still, it's cool to see he did that!!

See I thought the woman was his wife or girlfriend that left him, and took his heart and time (the clock) while the alligator represents some new woman or perhaps some vice (drug addiction, alcohlism, etc.) that is now filling the spot where she left. That was sort of my interpretation.

This song is about a gold digger. The woman takes his things, including the clock. She becomes the alligator, showing that she is cold-blooded like one, and the alligator sort of ignores the man's affection. He manages to get his time back from her, the time he wasted.
@krystalwj10 жыл бұрын
Ohhh.....Good explanation! Deep, but Sad because I know people like this & seeing them ruin lives! The trick here is; how do you teach them (on both sides of the coin) to change their ways, or (the other-side) how do you warn your loved one to watch-out for the "Cold-blooded One(s)"! ? Before it's too late! They usually learn it for themselves the hard-way.... ~ Peace

Your english skills are fine, my friend. However describing something as "the shit" usually means it is good thing. For example, if you hear a song that you like enjoy, you may say, "This song is THE SHIT!" On the other hand, when describing the same thing as "shit" (without 'the'), it is saying it is a bad thing. "Oh this song is SHIT! I hate it!" While this may make no sense to you, i hope it helps you someday to understand the highly illogical language of english.
