The Anam Cara relationship is a gift. It isn't found if or when sought, and mystically transcends any other one can ever experience.

This sermon is medicine for the heart. A few years ago I left the church and even though I no longer identify as a Christian, this moved me. I really resonate with the vision and heart of Anam Cara. I also loved the song towards the end. So Beautiful ❤️

I’m a “recovering” cultural catholic. If Simon was at a church near me, I’d return to mass to hear his homilies

Hello Lavona, it's so good to read that your connection remains with your beloved anam cara all these years. I wish more people were able to remain connected to their beloved dead - your connection is rare and beautiful: a gift in deed. Thanks for sharing.

Sometimes you find something that speaks to your heart so deeply...I was looking for readings on Anam Cara and this gem came up. It's quite possibly the most beautiful sermon I've ever heard. So many little nuggets of deep wisdom that are both familiar yet refreshing in the way they're presented. The selected quotes by John O'Donohue and Christine Valters-Paintner are like little blessings themselves. Thank you 🙏

Listening to this on a Friday evening I found it very uplifting. And good to hear John O'Donohue quoted. Read and reading his books - real blessing. And do noy forget the teachings of Padraig O'Tuama. Seems I should become more part of the Celtic tradition - it resonates with me.
