I think there is a kind of belief that we can blunder into and beyond any frontier with no preparation, no permission and no recognition of what might await us. I think that one of the things that we have lost in modern life is the reverence of approach because some of the most secret things are the most sacred things. And if you don’t approach with reverence, it will decide not to approach you. I think reverence is a profound sense of respect, expectation and preparation.
