Well I certainly love analogue and quite honestly, you've finally swung me into making a decision about another flavour of 76 comp, mainly for snare duties. I got this unit in 500 series and love it. I did a lot of research before buying it, unfortunately there's not a lot of reviews on it so it gets a little 'hidden' behind other products. Thanks for your terrific review Barry.

i got this piece too. The blue mode is amazing. I've found i like all blue or all black most of the time. The sound is unreal. I would call it the one stop shop for 1176 style comps. Haven't used the 19 inch but I'm sure it kills as well. My only criticisms are: 1) the level shift when switching modes, 2) the level rise when you switch as well as the blue mode being a bit louder. 3) the input knob is a bit hot, a hair of a turn makes a big difference in setting the input But at the end of the day, we are here for the sound and it does so well in that category.

Its a fantastic compressor, as is the rack mount unit as well. I find the offerings from them rather expensive though

Yes I have but to do a video like takes a very long time, way more than people would think. Regardless you are going to get the same results if the before and after of the demos.
