I forgot to mention that the mid motor design is also a factor for the low grip on the dirt track. Overall I really enjoy running this buggy.

So, regarding mid-motor setups on loose surfaces, the key to make them work is to run a less aggressive setup than you would on a rear-motor buggy as the weight balance inherently gives them more steering at the expense of rear traction. It's actually easier to make a mid-motor car work on low-grip surfaces than it is to make a rear-motor car work on something like carpet.

That serpent was pretty good after you fix the problems! I would say I would buy one but I like 4wd buggies now! They just handle really well on loose surfaces! I prefer 2wd for carpet or on Road!

Bandit did well, 144001 with it’s LC Racing DNA 😀 can rip on dirt. Great road trip to an awesome track👍🏾

Oh yeah the wltoys was amazing on the track on 2s. On 3s it was out of control. Definitely need to go back out that way again

That's not a 144001, it's a 104001. Which means it's actually XRAY DNA.

Really nice showcase of rc cars. I love your collection. I'm seriously considering buying the serpent rtr, I'm on the fence with this car and the team associated RB10 rtr. I'm thinking the updated newer car might be more refined and perform better, and have better part support. What do you think? Thanks again for this great video.

I am thinking about the rb10 also but the price tag is scaring me.

I know you asked this two years ago so you've probably made up your mind, but parts support is the only advantage the RB10 has over the SRX2 RTR. The RB10 doesn't actually have anything in common with Associated's racing models, it's actually its own unique chassis with suspension based somewhat on the B5R. Meanwhile, the SRX2 MM RTR is an SRX2 kit with a plastic chassis that's a one-to-one with the original SRX2 MM. It's also better set up out of the box - the RB10 for some reason comes with an extremely low ride height setup with excessively soft suspension out of the box, which causes the car to bounce around and chassis slap all over the place, whereas the SRX2 is generally going to be within the ballpark for most surfaces from the factory.
