Omg i am a Jaejoong stan, i love him so much, and JYJ made great music! Get Out was an anthem for those of us who wanted justice for JYJ, the audiences went wild when they sang it. I saw them in Newark in 2011. I'm too old to want to marry JJ 😅 but he IS my favorite person in the world. His voice got me through some extremely difficult years. Jaejoong forever! Are you going to look at JX fancams?

Btw i discovered kpop because of these guys. I had already seen Playful Kiss and had seen a little of SS-501, but in Jan 2011 i saw Sungkyungkwan Scandal and i wanted to know which voice was which on the JYJ in SKKS OST. I went down the rabbithole of DBSK (TVXQ) as 5 members and utterly loved them. The group of 5 also helped get me through those years

JYJ's Jaejoong and Junsu recently held a concert called JX Identity where they publicly performed their TVXQ songs for the first time in 15 years. I don't think you can do the whole concert but I recommend that you react to their performances of: Mirotic (주문) (This is that song where in the music video Jaejoong was roped up against a wall and broke free. You freaked out) Love In The Ice (I think you reacted to the five member original version before) The intro remix of three songs collapsed into one large intro (Rising Sun + Purple Line + O)

He's still greatly appreciated & loved in Japan & he has always been invited to year end music show in japan. He'll even be one of the judges for singing contest in Japan this month. Still not much changes seen in music industry in SK. Thankfully he has started to appear in some variety shows (public broadcast) eg fun staurant this year

TVXQ truly are all-time legends in the music industry. As an SM Entertainment group, it's no surprise that TVXQ/JYJ are outstanding vocalists. TVXQ was originally supposed to be a purely acapella dance group, so they all have amazing vocals. They actually have several acapella performances in their early days that really showcase how amazing they were as vocalists. TVXQ is one of the reasons why SM is known as a vocal powerhouse and why the company has become recognized for having some of the best dancers and vocalists in the industry. If you haven't already, check out TVXQ's Killing Voice performance to see what I mean. Here is some background to help you understand the dynamics of TVXQ and JYJ better. TVXQ (English and Chinese)/DBSK (Korean)/ Tohoshinki (Japanese), which each are the abbreviations/acronyms of the words in each language that translates to mean "Rising Gods of the East," debuted in 2003 as a 5 member group. But, in 2010 three of their members left SM Entertainment and the group and formed a new group called JYJ -- the initials of the members: Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoong. JYJ was active between 2010 and 2014 and they remained a group until about 2021, but because they left SM Entertainment -- one of the most powerful and influential companies in the industry -- on less than ideal terms, it has made it more difficult for them to promote themselves and their music, so their activities were often limited. Therefore, the members of JYJ are more known as actors and producers than they are as a group now. However, Jaejoong and Junsu/XIA also have solo careers and promote as a duo. "Get Out," which came out in 2011, was JYJ's first Korean album comeback since splitting with SM and was meant to establish them as a newly reborn group. (Their first official album was a Japanese album, which was followed up by an all-English album in 2010. Their English album was released in the U.S. and it even had a song that featured Kanye West.) "Back Seat," which was released in 2014, was JYJ's last album comeback as a group. This year Jaejoong and Junsu have rebranded themselves and started performing together under the group name JX. However, Max/Changmin and U-Know/Yunho (as part of the group's concept all the members had stage names combined with their real names) continued as TVXQ as a duo. The day after Christmas will be TVXQ/DBSK/Tohoshinki's 21st anniversary, and even now as a duo they are so talented that they have the vocal range to cover all the parts of a song between the two of them, including rap. "Keep Your Head Down," which was released at the beginning of 2011, is showing why TVXQ are Rising Gods of the East. I think this is one of their songs that fits their name well. This song was designed to show just how powerful they were. "Keep Your Head Down" was their first comeback after splitting from JYJ and it was meant to prove to everyone that even as a duo they would continue to be the Gods that their name represented. Ever since debut SM wanted TVXQ to have God-like status and Changmin and U-Know personify that with songs like this one. This song showed everyone just how capable they were as artists -- that they could continue as just the two of them and never miss a beat. This performance solidified them as two of the top artists in the industry. The lyrics of the song are pretty much telling the story of their split from JYJ and how no matter what happens, it won't change who they are. In other words, they are reminding each other to "keeping your head down," continue to work hard and staying humble. The "Keep Your Head Down" MV was remastered, which is why there are English subs on the official MV. It was part of SM's remaster project. Normally, any SM video that was released before 2018 doesn't have subs, unless it recently was remastered. The choreographer for "Catch Me" is Tony Testa, who is a "Hollywood-famous" choreographer that has worked with big-name artists such as Michael Jackson. He has also worked with a lot of SM's artists, such as SHINee and Super Junior. Changmin and U-Know have said that Tony told them he got the idea for this choreography because the inflight movie that was shown on the flight from the U.S. to Korea was one of the Avengers movies and he was inspired by the Hulk. So that is why they were supposed to be animatronic robots with giant arms. In the MV when their arms light up that is done in post production, but you should check out some of their live performances of the song, because in some of their live performances -- such as in SM's end of the year SMCU Express SMTown concert on New Year's eve in 2021-22 -- they have LED arm bands, so they really do light up. With all the water in this MV, the choreography was super difficult. Although TVXQ is one of the senior Kpop groups, Changmin is currently only 36 and U-Know is 38. TVXQ is SM's most senior group that is still active, but U-Know and Changmin are still younger than, or the same age as, many of the members of the legendary groups who came after them within their generation. They are good friends with Super Junior and they pretty much all grew up together. Changmin is also best friends with Minho from SHINee. And Xiumin from EXO says Changmin was one of the reason why he auditioned for SM because he wanted to meet Changmin and become like him. As you heard, Changmin is known for his powerful high notes -- even more powerful than Onew or Jonghyun from SHINee or Chen and Baekhyun from EXO -- he literally has one of the widest note ranges of almost any Kpop artist. In a high note battle he always wins. It wouldn't be a TVXQ/Changmin song if we didn't get to hear at least one unbelievable high note from him. (Fun fact: Changmin got married in 2020 and he became a father to a boy in 2022.) U-Know is known for his dancing and his passion for dancing and singing. He is also the rapper of the group. (U-Know truly loves what he does and doesn't hide it. He will tell you he is proud of his accomplishments and he is proud of his work. His off-the-charts passion and intensity is kind of a running joke within the industry. It's one of the things he is most known for.) The funny thing is personality-wise, Changmin and U-Know are complete opposites in almost every way. Changmin is quiet, calm and level headed and prefers to be alone; and U-Know is loud, high energy, intense and prefers to be with a group of people. Tohoshinki (TVXQ) are one of the most famous singers in Japan as well, even among Japanese artists. And like SHINee and BoA, etc., they are so popular in Japan that they are considered part of the mainstream music scene. TVXQ has one of the biggest worldwide fan bases and they sell out some of the largest concert venues in the world. They are one of SM Entertainment's top selling groups, easily selling out concert tours around the world. Welcome to the Cassiopeia fandom. (Their fandom is named after the 5-starred constellation, Cassiopeia, because they originally were 5 members who were supposed to be gods who came from the stars.) If you like TVXQ then you are a Cassi. (In Japan their fans are called BigEast because Tohoshinki are Gods of the East and they have one of the largest fandoms.) Their fan color is Pearl Red, which is why one of the primary colors in most of TVXQ's MVs is red -- and when you attend a TVXQ concert you will see an ocean of red.
