Awesome, I was trying to propogate my blackberries and wasn't sure I was doing it right. This looks pretty much like what I was doing, which is very reassuring!

So you bury the branch right below the tip leaving the tip exposed to keep growing?

If you are doing serpentine layering on a shorter cane then bury the leaf node and the end of the cane will still grow and as it gets longer your can layer it again. Or just take a long cane (trailing variety works best) and serpentine layer it several times. I like to do regular top layering the best. Thanks for watching!

This is so helpful!! Does the rooting medium have to stay moist all the time for the cane to root? I’m worried it will rot
