Great video guys! You guys are becoming my favorite sailing channel! A lot of other channels are quitting sailing. Keep up the great videos and you guys will increase your channel to 50,000 or 100,000 subscribers. Regards from Arizona.

@@TheSailingBison You've only been on the water for a year, and you started out with KZbin slowly. I've seen other sailing channels that stay stuck on a few thousand subscribers for a long time, so you are doing something right. I'd like to make a suggestion or three. Start your video with a hook to keep people watching until the end, then ask them to subscribe, like, and share (because they forget). Then, your mail video, then ask them again, and finally, your outro. or you can reverse these two. Keep having fun, guys.

Happy you are committed to weeklies. Always enjoy your vid’s, you both communicate well to your audience of one (at a time) through the lenses.

Y. E. A. H. 🎉🎉🎉 You’re coming back. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻💕 Great episode, again. Pro Tip. The small fish are great eating and have less mercury and microplastics. The big fish everyone wants are better breaders. 🫣🫢🤫 See you next time. ✨🌊💨⛵️🏝️👙🌞✨

Hey thats a great tip! We hear ciguatera is a big problem as we go closer to the equator. Supposedly smaller fish are better for that too.

It took a year or so to get good enough with the stainless pans to make that. If we ever find treasure we would go all electric, including induction stovetop, so we got stainless just in case that happens.

great video, my first question from a person on land watching your videos at sea is: Do you, or how often, do you think about teh rat race and do you miss it? home sick? in the back of your mind do you ponder if you actually regret the boat life? Emilys Hangry sandwich made me wonder if you guys are ever going thru it or not.
@TheSailingBison29 күн бұрын
Great question! There's definitely hard times, but that's true no matter how you're living. We get homesick, especially right now during the holidays, but thankfully our families are supportive and open to meeting us in all these new/exotic places (: I don't think we'll ever necessarily regret boat life - we've wanted to do this for so long, and spent so much time researching and learning, that we feel like we came in with very realistic expectations. Naturally, there are some surprises lol, but we see those as moments for personal growth, not necessarily negative reflections of cruising. As for the "rat race" - we feel no remorse about stepping away from our day jobs and all the societal expectations that come with being in your late 20s/early 30s. We feel like we're getting what WE wanted out of life, instead of what everyone else told us was right or appropriate. We'll get into this in more detail in the new year!

@ I want to eventually get on to a sailboat maybe in a couple years when the kids are through school. But I did just get a wake/surf boat for this next summer. Lots of lakes at least up here in the Coeur dAlene area to give me a little bit of my boat fix. Hopefully get the kids into some water sports so when I transition to the ocean they will be more open to come check it out
