This is easily the single most epic series I have ever watched. To say this was blowout does not give justice to the quality of the matches that were played. Serral is one cold genius level player and is arguably the best to have ever played zerg while Has is as crafty and unpredictable as he is capable. This series could have gone either way and was won and lost on the smallest of details. Well done to both players a contest like this does not happen without two formidable minds behind the pieces. This honestly had me at the edge of my seat the entire way.

Championships are the standard by which all great players are judged three in a row is a feat to be sure. Admittedly I have only started watching these contests over the last 4 months or so. I'll reserve judgement until after Blizzcon on how Serral stacks up against the Koreans. But it's no exaggeration to say that he is probably the best non-Korean to play SC2. Best Zerg in SC2 so far was Nestea, maybe even Life back in his hayday, imo. Rogue certainly has the potential.

lol he just doesn't know how to play normal. Though, he knows, but he sucks in that. This is why he tries crazy builds, abusing the most overpowered tech in T1-T2 (shield batteries, immortals - all of that). Hate cheesers like him. If i were david kim i'd balance the issues Has and his "collegues" bring to games immediately. He's killing the whole idea of strategy, turning games into micro control contests. even players who feel most uncomfortable in this game rush modes win him - if they are skilled enough. But in middle+late type of game he is not a match for even the worst of them. What does it say to you? ^^
@gismo35646 жыл бұрын
Аvida Liver the people that play outside of the meta and make it a tough match for professionals and you say it's not strategy. It's clearly a lot of strategy. He overcomes his less than great mechanics, with strategy to turn the game upside down. It's boring to see the same match again and again. Being somewhat of a cheeser my self, when I played (mainly because my PC sucked and if there was more than 100 units I had like 5-15 fps) it was always fun to see diamond and mid master players say I sucked, but when I played GM's they usually recognized that a found a hole in their gameplay and commended me on it.
Surprise has and always will be a key part of war and war games.

I'm very, very impressed with Serral's ability to handle the cheese. Doesn't let it rattle him. Plays patient and smart, and doesn't let it frustrate him. Unlike players like Scarlett or Neeb, Serral is able to stay cool, calm, and collected no matter what you want to try. The cannon rush in game 3 was "perfect", but it didn't matter because of that ability to logically think out the scenario. I wish I could do that in my own life haha!

Looking back on these games, commentators missed a lot. On game 1, Serral cancelling zergling speed to get fast overlord speed was key. Then Serral cancels zergling speed again to prioritize roach speed. Zergling speed didn't even finish until 6:58, which meant if Has noticed this and went for blink stalkers or adepts, Serral wouldn't have been able to get a surround. Since Serral took the 'third' as his natural, adepts or blink stalkers could've harassed mineral lines easily. As 'unpredictable' as Has was, he played the same chargelot build almost every game, which Serral simply countered

Photon/battery rush + immortal cheesy plays are effective, no denial in that up until diamond... faced hundreds of them up until master league where it became obsolete. The reason is because the people who stay too long on cheesy plays usually have 0 skill or game for mid/late gaming. HAS gave me that impression where he either all-inn or gives up easily like he did on some games after some stupid push where he scouted before hand and knew what he was getting into. He is good... very good at cheesing no denial in that, but he needs to improve alot his mid/late game micro/macro skills as backup for a failed cheesy play. @mystirboy6 жыл бұрын
Truestm Oh yeah my bad. I mean to say the 'foreign sOs". But as for sOs taking some tips on Has' build that's in the realm of possibility. I remember took a build from a Korean streamer with blink DTs having them body and zealots attack on the other side to complete a 'sandwhich' against Inno but it failed though. I have feeling Has' +2 Immortal Zealot Sentry timing might become a new meta build for Toss mid game.
