Same here. If Hero would have continued to "abuse" the speed advantage of his army in game 5, I am sure he would have won this game. Serral was on the verge of losing. And only stabilized (and won) after hero no longer "abused" the speed advantage and just fought him head on.

I think I'm getting brain damage reading the takes on balance in these comments. Pros will tell you that PvZ is slightly toss favored in the current patch. Match was great btw. Hero really showing the strength of mobility in the toss late game army. Really impressive to see him fighting so well against serral

PvZ lategame is unwinnable for zerg if protoss plays it correctly and it has been for ages, just the protosses got even more buffs lately and still most of them are not able to control their HT in a way to not get constantly abducted or parasitic bombs in. In such a state, zerg needs to force a favourable lategame entry for themselves or win the game earlier and in that regards, protoss has been buffed continously for quite a while. PvZ is currently pretty protoss favoured, not just a bit and the lategame is solely decided on if the protoss is able to play good enough; if they fuck up with the HT or the oracles, they might just insta-lose, but if not, zerg slowly dies with no way out.

Man, this series really showed how op zerg spellcasters are. 2 fungals and 1 parasitic bomb did more than 5 storms inside of time warp. And that's not to mention neural or abduct value. You hear the casters like "He gets big storms all over the zerg army!" and maybe a single unit will die.

Serral uses every unit he has, he will even mirco and save a single zergling in mid game. Hero throws units from time to time, from zealot to disruptor. Although quite hard to manage, but many players move the distruptors to the front and exposed them.

Hero could have won the 5th game if he would have continued to use the strenght of his army: Being more mobile. He had Serral on the brink of defeat as long as he didn't fight head on. Then all of a sudden he stopped doing that and just fought - several times. And lost. In a "which unit is too strong" you need to take into account how mobile a unit is too. A unit may be extremly strong, but if it is slow af the enemy can just never give battle and whittle you slowly down. Like Hero did in game 5 for a long time.

It's funny to see that this Protoss late game style is more effective vs Serral's late game than Maru's, and that mid game blink timings from Protoss can be just as scary if not more than Terran's equivalent.

Toss is the most unforgiving race when it comes to mistakes. Zerg and terran can make tons of mistakes and comeback (queen injects/mules).

He had game 5 in the pocket too - Serral was almost dead, because heroes army was way more mobile and could nibble away on Serral again and again. Then hero stopped doing that and just fought - and lost.

Game 5: 1:30:50 HerO climbs back into the game from 60 supply deficit. 1:41:09 HerO works his way back into the game from 70 supply deficit this time. Is this also possible because Protoss is so unforgiving? Hero then makes the decision to switch to voidrays and carriers, (which according to you guys is a mistake), but then it still takes another 10 minutes before the game deciding fight occurs. Note that fight takes one and a half minutes to actually conclude (1:51:33 - 1:53:00). What loses him the games was the decision to switch to voidrays. I don't see how that strategical decision has to do anything with how the race works.

54:30 cmon rotti, you cannot neural a mothership and have not been able to for years at this point. To the people saying her0 gave it away in game 5: Not really. At some point, you cannot attack in two places at once anymore, because serral has all the bases in the bottom left and only needs minimal forces for the top right, should he build there. So the army cannot rotate around very much anymore.

Zerg is still OP, mainly because of its spellcasters : - Queens (cheap, cost no gas, can defend almost anything, unlimited healing when numerous) - Infestors (Fungle (instant damage), Mind control, can move borrowed/hidden) - Vipers (can yonk anything, including motherships, can trade building health for mana --> unlimited energy) I dont even speak about the fact that top Zergs can see 70% of the map activity after 15 min :/

And u clearly forget the really important problem with Zerg: BAD ECONOMICS EFFICIENCY. U waste a lot of resources in units that if properly countered (not even hard) waste u a LOT of resources.
