Just made this and its delicious. I used 5 sticks of real butter instead of margarine. I peeled my shrimp before cooking because I'm greedy and didnt want anything slowing me down once it was cooked. I also added extra lemon pepper and lime. There was a lot of sauce so I would recommend using at least 5lbs for the recipe or make some rice or pasta to go with it.

I’ve tried six other BC copycat recipes and this one is by far the closest. Soooo good. I only made 2 lbs. worth of shrimp so I split the sauce recipe in half. I also added a 1/2 cup of diced onion per one of the other reviewer’s recommendations. I added sausage and corn and served it over cauliflower rice. Great keto meal if you don’t have the corn and either cut the brown sugar or substitute Stevia or other keto friendly sweetener. Will definitely be making this again. 🤗🔥🦐😋

This is called "BBQ Shrimp" and is one of New Orleans most popular dishes. Use real butter, add some beer, and lemons instead of limes and you have traditional New Orleans BBQ Shrimp. Serving over rice is great, but having loaves of crusty french baguettes to mop up the sauce is also fantastic. Pro-Tip: Using shrimp with heads still on gives a richness that is incredible!

Finally made this, and it was amazing! If you aren't crazy about lime/lemon in your food, don't add it in the sauce, just have it on the side for dipping. First time I made it, I made 2 lbs of shrimp by cutting the recipe in half, and then made it again with the exact recipe but 2 lbs of shrimp instead of 4 lbs, and I preferred the full recipe sauce with the 2 lbs of shrimp. I let me sauce simmer for like 30 mins so it became thick like that of boiling crab. I added to the sauce and shrimp boiled pieces of corn (30 mins), small red potatoes (30 mins), and sausage (10 mins). It was not spicy, just had a nice spice. If you prefer spicy, double up your paprika and cayenne, or maybe just add an additional 1/2 tbs to not end up with it too spicy. Enjoy!

I tried this tonight and it was bomb!!! I live in Denver, CO and our version of The Boiling Crab is called The Crawling Crab and it’s the same concept. This recipe was spot on to our version too!! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the recipe, made it today for the Fam. Did 4lbs or shrimp with head and 2 tbsps of all the seasonings mentioned and just kept it at 1tbsp brown sugar. The family love it. It was amazing.
