12:45 .. sample and hold LFO on the cutoff there with rests and breaks in between.. modulating between 70hz and 400hz would be pretty cool. As you adjusted it there was a cool difference in timbre and it’d be cool to hear those sounds switch with silence in between. Cool video

Can honestly say you make the best serum tutorials on KZbin

Huge compliment! Thank you!

Good demonstration on the phaser stuff, but what really makes this particular bass stand out is the vibrato you added, this is probably one of the best FM screeches I've seen...heard... Really, thanks for sharing this bass!
@never1ess4 жыл бұрын
dude... i've been waiting for someone to go through and walk through all these basses. you are the man.

the chill background piano is hilarious against the bass you're making

Hey man, really appreciate your effort! So much knowledge hidden in this channel - it`s been a long time since I`ve seen content of this quality. Have you ever considered making a video of actually using all these sounds? There are tons of "how to make this sound" videos all over the place but I think the real deal is actually know how to use them. There are many options when it comes to placing the sound in the right place and it`s cool to see approach of someone who does it well. Wish you all the best from Slovakia!

damn I've been on the verge of getting FL for the longest time now. I think ima pull the trigger really soon
@HAKOBO4 жыл бұрын
If you want me to talk about it and help that decision in a video I can totally do that. ;) What DAW are you currently using if any?
@lucasdellabella12704 жыл бұрын
FYI the software he is making these basses in does not come with FLstudio. It's third party and costs $$. Though you can download free alternatives that look different but still do the same / similar things.

Did you make this patch with an OTT on the mixer channel cause mine sound nowehere near as phat
@HAKOBO4 жыл бұрын
There should be no post processing in this video.

03:24 this is a noob question but how do u maked it sound without playing a note? cause i was trying to play that note of that moment exactly and i cant make it:( i followed the same steps of ur video and i cant:(
@somilkoul49883 жыл бұрын
Ya dude, even I can't play the same tune from these steps.. the first step itself. Appreciate the efforts though .
@Modern.Elegance2 жыл бұрын
Sorry year late but he was probably using a midi keyboard to press the note
@jackie3474 Жыл бұрын
Why is it that I follow this tutorial to a T and it does not sound the same at any point throughout the tutorial? Is it post processing? Im confused, thank you!
@Niro_sounds Жыл бұрын
Serum needs to make it so you can save the macros/knob positions then load that up

Does anyone know if this style of bass has a name? OR are there any other tutorials on this? This video is amazing, but I'd like to learn more about this style.
@StanleyNoble2 жыл бұрын
It's a sustain bass but most of them are quite screechy so I dont know if you will be able to find anything similar with that name

hey i got an idea for you next video, try making like a complete basics of serum in under 5 minutes.
@HAKOBO4 жыл бұрын
I like the idea but it sounds hard because I could talk about serum forever haha.
@Modern.Elegance4 жыл бұрын
HAKOBO you should do it but not limit to 5mins. I’ve been waiting for someone to just breakdown serum who actually makes relevant sound design lol. To show where the focus should be to really lock it in
@illuminous56033 жыл бұрын
@@Modern.Elegance I know It's been a year since this comment, and you might have already found it by now... but Virtual Riot has like an hour long video where he breaks down serum :)
@lukehyre13834 жыл бұрын
I tried following the video but when you get to where you very first take a listen to the sound yours has a sustain to it while u hold it down as where mine it just a beep and that's it.. I rewatched several times following precisely and get the same result.. therefore I was unable to achieve the end result.
@henri470x4 жыл бұрын
LFO mode perhaps? Trig, Env, Off next to LFO rate knob
@HAKOBO4 жыл бұрын
Check which way your knob is turned with your envelopes.
@jack_b_nimble4 жыл бұрын
make sure when your shaping the envelope as he does you are using Envelope 2 and not Envelope 1. Envelope 1 is the master envelope.
@jonahmyers7394 жыл бұрын
i figured it out its the note on the keyboard he's playing. If you press middle c you'll get a beep. If you go down 2 octaves you get the bass
@jolyne694 жыл бұрын
nvctve
@jonahmyers7394 жыл бұрын
just getting a beep, not the bass
@particlejim3 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna guess you used Envelope 1 right? That's the master envelope, use Envelope 2 instead and leave Envelope 1 in it's default state 👍

*makes an entire tutorial on how to make a sound* doesn't show the post processing
@HAKOBO3 жыл бұрын
The tutorial is on how to set up a patch in Serum. There is no post processing in this sound to show you. If you watch any of my other videos I always go through any post processing involved.
