thank you ! very nice perspective =) like the idea of making patches and then go from there
@WTB24824 жыл бұрын
Super solid gems here. The bit about making a great "template patch" for all other variations to come from was insanely helpful. Never really thought about it like that, but that's a super practical way to go about making a dope sound, and then give it variety.

Great video can you do a breakdown of the night bass sound like in ac slater bass inside?
@DanDaDannyz4 жыл бұрын
Wow Hakobo, that was another really solid tutorial! I loved this different approach to sound design, since it seems like a lot of Serum tutorials may walk through some of the different knobs/filters/LFOs but they never really talk about WHY or what they are doing, which makes it difficult to really learn from. You are quickly becoming my favorite KZbinr for music tutorials!

this right here! very helpful to say the least. can't thank you enough for these tutorials. as for sound requests, I have a wide range of sounds for you to consider. Chris Lorenzo, Hatcha (specifically his older classic dubstep stuff) , and even though I'm not a huge fan of Crankdat, on his EP Mechanized Mayhem, all 3 tracks have super loud, gritty, crazy bass which, imo, would be awesome to recreate.

Great video I would love to see a video of your process for recreating different basses. Like different things you listen for and what steps to take. I know its not that easy, but a video called... "How to recreate any bass?" would probably be a hit

I was literally about to buy Ableton and then I found you FL videos and its shown me I have a lot more to learn about FL before I toss it to the side. Could you make a video on how you think Ganja White Night makes their wobble basses? There are zero videos on their style and I noticed you like wobbles.
@lout92314 жыл бұрын
if you could do the same but for various types of post processing that would be dope.

how does taking out a bit at 200hz make room for kick and snare. Should our kicks and snares be 200 hz?

A lot of the boxiness normally hits between 160-200. It isn't gospel, just general guideline. I believe Skrillex talked about it in an interview once.

I will be doing a track breakdown really soon! But to be honest on most projects I an a disorganized mess so it is challenging to make good content based off things that would be much clearer when organized haha!

Although you said that you dont like too much highs on ur bass sounds, Im still new to sound design, but it seems like the sounds is a bit lacking of power, is it just post processing or like a phat rack whatever? To me, it sounds abit too tonal? sorry, if i am wrong, im pretty new...
@HAKOBO3 жыл бұрын
These basses don't have any post processing. Putting an OTT and some saturation on your bass will make them sound a lot heavier. :)
