It isn't bullying to tolerate a pat on the head. Dogs are simply wired differently as group animals. Cats are solitary animals. They act like they're alone on the planet, so the moment something bothers them, they bite. Doesn't matter how close they are to the person they're hurting. Cats have been known to eat their owners within three hours of death. There's been cases where they ate their owners who were still alive and sometimes even survived as they were simply comatose. For dogs, it takes them an average of four days without food before they'll eat their owners, and many have been known to starve or go rabid from hunger without ever touching their owners. Loyalty is the word to describe dogs, not tolerance.

Reminds me of our little ( she's really petite, ) girl I adopted named Journey (Lil' Journey Chicken Biscuit), that was psycho and took over 3 years to get her to trust us. She was a freaking cobra ... She's still not a kitty that will tolerate too much but she has become loving in her own way.

If the serval was serious about it, you would need to count your fingers after the encounter. A feral (domestic) kitten no more than a few weeks old left me with several deep puncture wounds to the hand after just seconds.

Yes, like ANY CAT, serviles DO and WILL BITE!!! It was obvious - and anyone familiar with cats (or with common sense!) - would have noticed the cat’s behavior was very dubious and skeptical as to this person’s approaching hand. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Was there a point to be made here - and if so - WHAT pray tell was it?!
