He dominated the body of Christ with his music and his videos set the standard for everyone who came after. All of his shows on TBN and his kid videos, Yo Kidz! with Lawrence the Kat was awesome. He is definitely missed by the fans of all ages. His lyrics NEVER compromised and you know when you’re singing them EXACTLY who he is talking about. He gave glory to GOD in EVERY song.* 🎶

This song brings so many, many memories of my teen years when youth pastor used to drive us all in the church van to Carman's concerts every year. Carman never charged a dime for his concerts (unlike most nowadays) My family didn't have much money at that time so Carmen made it possible. I accepted Christ in one of his concerts. I am so thankful for Carman and his music. When I was a young girl I grew up in an abusive house environment. Back then one didn't talk about such things especially in middle class America. I first heard his music in 3rd grade when the girls I rode with to school in a carpool ....she was playing R.I.O.T. and it just immediately connected with me. I remember getting more of his music after that and was like...woah...no one is talking about spiritual warfare in the church or at school etc and yet I knew it to be real. I had experienced evil. Yet, even though I had gone to Sunday school and heard all the bible stories and had a Christian education which I am so glad I did, it wouldn't be until 13 years old when at the juncture of suicide Christ personally showed up in my life. I am so GLAD Carman didn't choose to go with the label I heard about which told him he couldn't "preach" in his music. My life would have been so different and yes God might have worked in other way but I am grateful Carman made the decision He did and made the music he did. I will be praying for his family. May God comfort you all.

The very first concert that I attended was Carman radically saved live tour. After the concert I met him. I was ten years old. The second concert that I attended of his was 2019 legacy. I met him after. The second time I mentioned it to him he responded wow a long time ago I was there. I enjoyed both I still have a lot of his music albums vhs tapes ect. Even a Vinyl record. Sad that he is gone but oh how beautiful Heaven must be.

I miss Carman so much more than I thought I would! During the '80's and '90's my friends and I went to his anointed, electrifying, convicting, gifted, humble concerts!!! Words don't do him justice! What a talented musical and theatrical genius!!! Every song had Jesus in it, every concert was free for all and the Gospel was presented as the free gift that it is at the end of every concert!!

Thanks Carman for your ministry through music. I had several albums like Addicted to Jesus, RIOT, The Standard and many more during my younger days. It was truly a blessing and a great experience to have this man who has all kinds of music genres. @@kentlewis987 I agree 100%! It's amazing how he kept his accolades low-key and even treated them like it's no big deal, when in reality, it definitely was. It was great for him to do that so he could point others not to himself, but to Christ, the focal point of why he did what he did. On the flip side, because the majority of people do not know the many many many MANY things he did in his life to impact the world for Jesus, they just downright called him a fanatic in the worst way possible. That's only because they didn't see the bigger picture of his ministry and how much God reached so many souls through him. I continue to live each day with the hope that one day, we all will finally see that impact.

@@DavidJ1943 excellent points. Even when Christian media outlets like CCM magazine didn’t quite get it, he never let that deter him. When he was inducted into the GMA Hall of Fame, he talked about how the industry never knew quite what to do with him. As far back as his Comin’ on Strong concert video (1984) he talked about his songs not being accepted by mainstream churches. He said he wanted to do something different & he definitely accomplished that. The attendance records his concerts set will likely never be equaled in CCM. He had such a talent for exciting people about God.

Just close your eyes, feel His loving arms around you, comforting and protecting you from all that you fear. Serve Him to the best of your ability. He knows your hurts, fears, hopes and dreams. He knows the plans that He has for you (Jeremiah 29:11) He loves you, you are a daughter the King!!!! Its a hard mean world and we need Him to lean on and talk to.
