Sgtmjr, thank Goodness for your tutorial. My young Marine missed his opportunity for a Dry cleaner and couldn't wait. Here's where Dad comes in and saves his sorry ass! I have been pressing my own clothes thanks too my Marine father who raised me Military Style. However,not being in the Service myself, I know I lacked what Reg is. You definitely filled the gaps. Wife of a u.k solider and this is the only video I could find. Excellent advice but finding an ironing video that states, you need and ironing board and and iron to iron the uniform, is a very humorous. 😂

Rah SGTMAJ, I have a question, for starching and pressing the dress blue trousers. Are you able to follow the same process as the service trousers, or because it is a lighter color should I avoid using starch and go with distilled water and press?

What's the best Stratch do you use ? I use regular brand any advice for someone who is just learning how to press service uniforms I want to offer and ironing service for my local law enforcement department in my hometown and I'm not experienced on this basis for how to press service uniforms do you use heavy duty starch or light starch which is the best I'm still unsure what to use Oorah. Hello Sergeant Major, I want to be a Marine Officer, more specifically a pilot. I will obviously have to go to college, I've got a real good deal with my current college where I am working on my A.A. degree while in high school through the dual enrollment program. My current college has a partnership with one of the bigger state universities where if I compete my A.A. degree with the state college, I am guaranteed admission in the university. The university only has Air Force and Army ROTC but the have the Semper Fi society which I will do more research on. I want to do a medical related major, and with me also wanting to be a pilot, I was thinking I could get a masters in aeronautical science. I do not know exactly what the deal is with the Corps and education assistance, I know they will pay for schooling but would they pay for prior semesters? I am also working on applying to the Naval Academy but it seems like a long shot. Do you have any advice sir? Thank you for all of your service and sacrifice, SEMPER FI!

Schooling will be paid for, but unfortunately, any school prior to joining will not be covered. I believe the Naval Academy is an exception. Talk to one of your local recruiters about the NROTC Scholarship. That does cover 100% if you are selected. The first year is completely free and you do not have to pay it back if you decide to leave the NROTC program, but after you start your sophomore year you agree to stick with it and will have to pay it back (from sophomore year forward) if you quit. Also, get your degree in whatever you like. There is no specific degree requirement to be an officer (except for JAG) so you can get a medical degree and still be a pilot. Tuition Assistance (TA) and FAFSA paid for the entirety of my degree while in and I actually made a few thousand I got to pocket. I am not sure if TA is available to officers though. -Active Duty SSgt and prior Recruiter

What settings do you use on your washer to wash the Service Charlies?

Take Service "C" to the dry cleaners for the first wash/press. If you decide to wash/press them on your own, use a GENTLE cycle in COLD water. Pre-treat any stains with stain removing spray (Spray N' Wash). Use a light amount of color-safe laundry soap (with no added bleaches). Wash Service "C" Shirt & Trousers together only. Do not wash uniforms with other clothing. Allow Service "C" uniforms to AIR DRY! Do not put Service uniforms in the dryer. I hope this helps.
