Probably sounds like an ignorant question, but I’m not the most mechanically incline fella… So, my BR500 seems to drip fuel whenever the tank is 1/2 full or more. It definitely happens every time I initially put the blower on my back (after a fresh tank of fuel), and when I bend down to pick something up off the ground. The fuel line seems to be secure in the tank, so I’m thinking the problem must be with the fuel cap. However, it’s tight and easily locks into place. Is this a problem anyone else has encountered? Anything else it could be? I’m tired of smelling like straight-up fuel every time I use the blower, until I can get in and shower and wash the clothes I’m wearing. The fuel is all over my lower back and legs. Thanks!

Gas cap is defective - had the same problem - Stihl was aware of defective caps and replaced it under warranty.
