This is the best explanation on RT and RD so far. However, the RT import and export is still a little misleading for me at least given it might needs a reference subject (either the Provider or Customer).

Ah, after I watched the entire thing, I figured out the import and export. The reference object is the PE itself. For local PE to send the traffic to other PEs, it is called export. For local PE to receive the traffic from other PEs, it is called import.
