What size tube did you use for outriggers to side inside like that?

The extension part is 2x4 x1/4 wall and the receiver is 3x5 (don’t quote me I’d have to measure) There is no rectangle tube that slides into one another with a good fit like square tube does. So to compensate for the slop I welded lengths of 1” flat x1/8 to the top and sides of the insert. I wanted it to have some slop however to prevent seizing/binding when stored. My old ones seized together and I could never use them extended. These ones never get stuck and slide in and out with ease
