Have you ever looked into femco fitting for the oil drains. No more dropped plugs or oil on your hands and you get a nice little hose to get it into the buckets.

Another great year of videos Nathan, I feel I've learned a lot about your agriculture, I'll probably never get to use that knowledge here in the UK, but that is part of the fascination. Good luck for the coming year.

I hope you and family have a Happy New Year! I gotta say that I am glad I stumbled onto your channel this year. I totally enjoy watching your daily excursions and the break down of field analysis etc... My dad would have done the same but the technology was pen and paper and notebooks that graduated to floppy disc. When PC's came around he enrolled at the Jr. College in my hometown of Selma, Al to learn more and to start migrating them into the farm especially to keep up with ginning other farmers cotton and general record keeping. I introduced him to JDLink last year and he loved it and was fascinated. We use it on the JD Construction side all the time where I work. (Nice 310K, by the way) Coming from a cotton farming background I have learned more about corn/soybean/wheat farming from you guys. The only grain we grew we ploughed under as cover crops and the sorghum and soybeans we utilized and would grind/mix for feed on our hog operation as it was too dry in Bama to grow our own corn so we shipped it in from the upper mid west (better corn in my opinion and way more affordable)... Anyway, I really enjoy the videos you produce. Thanks

Love your boy taking such a interest in the equipment. Approximately how much do the farm spend on equipment [ filters, oil, broken parts, stock parts and fuel.] Thanks for the great content.

Hi, really enjoy the videos. We've had the same question about the track tension cylinder grease zerks on the 8RX, and in our manual it's listed as a 250 hour interval. There's also a second zerk on the front end of that cylinder in between the two halves of front idler wheel, that should be greased at the same time. Evidently John Deere did find the typo at some point, hope that's helpful!

Hey Nathan, have you seen the 9.0 batteries they have on Amazon for the Milwaukie tools. They last a lot longer without having to recharge as much. My blower will go three times as long with one of those. I am actually changing over to all 9.0 due to having to constantly charging

Your boys are really growing. Great to see them with you. Anything on trans/hyd filter? Seems like a filter change would be in order after the first season.

It's a 1,500 hr. service interval and no mention of a break-in or first service interval.

Hey there Nathan, I hope this finds you all well and good. Griot's is pronounced Gree-Ohs I didn't hear you say, but are you using the Full Synthetic Plus-50 ll oil, or the conventional mineral oil? Those 4 grease fittings are on the track tension adjusting cylinders, which are primarily used when adjusting track tension after track removal/installation, they're not a regular maintenance/lubrication item, that's why they're not listed (correctly so) in the maintenance/lubrication section of your manual, you should find them in the track tensioning and removal/installation section. I hope y'all had a blessed Christmas, and that you have a prosperous New Year. "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌 👍 🇺🇲

Simi with 150,00 and this company guy even if I had to stop in dealer. A cab filter replace first thing ascites left terminal. Took in with me to parts. O we don't change those. You can this one as I tapped on parts table. What proper way to protest? They got one to me and I handed miles driver code. O we all know my tap left mess on metal parts counter. Thanks for the memories. Wisconsin small engine little older than your boys and the oil bath filters of the day. Filtering has sure changed.

I love this channel. I remember my life with fuel. Even jd I love there 2 cents. But in a sealed system why is forcing that real fine fuel system to pump dry. Till it forces that air all the way and air compresses making it harder to push out injectors ect. I will keep fuel I put in clean. But my tractor if I owned one filter be done wrong. They just not know.
@BorderViewFarms
@BorderViewFarms Жыл бұрын
It's not pushing fuel through the filters it's vacuuming the air out and sucking fuel through. If I leave the water drain open, they will never prime and won't leak fuel either.
