I have same issue with low car driving on ramps i now use long planks of strong wood so u got a less steep incline and also makes it so much easier to drive up without ramps moving

The shaking gear knob is normal for an mx5. I used to own a MK3 with 29k miles on the clock and my friend still has one, which has around 32k miles, and both cars had a shaking shifter. It’s like a characteristic of the car 😄 don’t worry about it. Great choice of car by the way.. can’t beat an mx5

LSD - basically both wheels will move at the same speed at the same time, always. Without LSD if your turning eg right, the left wheel will move independantly. LSD will be easier for you to have it sideways.
