Thank you for a great education. I had no idea that it was so easy to reset the service interval. Can I ask please which fault code reader you use and where I could get one. Keep up the great work

Thanks Ivan. 👍🏻We use a super cheap ELM327 OBD2 Bluetooth adapter. Then we use the free version of Torque (lite) on our phones. It'll show you basic error codes, give you various readouts and allows you to clear some codes. But it's far from an expensive Autel system that can properly delve deep into the various systems on the Freelander 2. 😀

Hi Steve 👋. I was using Torque (Lite) in this video. I have since brought the full version of the Torque app. It only gets "surface level" DTC's, but that's all I really need. Anything more, and I'll take it to a man or woman who does know what they are doing. 😁 - Scott

Great vid! I ripped out that undertray sound deadening. It serves no purpose at all, and as you say, could get caught in the aux belt. Have you thought of trying a K&N air filter? Expensive but washable and won’t disintegrate if it gets wet. Maybe buy Alana some safety goggles for xmas? 😂

Thanks Scott. 😁👍🏻 We are concerned that if we remove the sound deadening then the EU will come after us for making the car 0.1db louder and therefore somehow killing the planet. 😂 Thanks for the tip regarding the K&N filter, we will look into that one. 😀 I'll make sure to add the goggles to her Christmas list. 😄👍🏻

Always do the oil filter on my FL2 from above. Saves eating oil 😂. K&N is a good option for the air filter. 👍

I wish I could because it would save a lot of hassle. 😄 Although I do wonder if a yearly dose of 10w-40 is as good for me as cod liver oil tablets. 😂 Alana has said about a K&N filter to wash, oil, and reuse as a replacement. I have a couple of minor reservations that I need to look into before we commit to it. 😁 - Scott

I know k&n filters are oiled so would that help with a water/moisture problem?

Cracking video. Worth grabbing a few sets of wheel chocks also when working on ramps or jacks, just in case. We must be carrying around 20-30kg of mud on these things and their mud traps 😂

Thanks Mr RJB 😁👍🏻. We know we should've chocked the back wheels but we are fortunate to have a drain cover with a rather steep angle by the back wheel which acted as a sort of chock. 😁 I do dread to think how much of a weight saving and therefore MPG saving would be made if every trace of dirt was removed from the car. 😂
