I would love to see retractable landing gear setup using Taranis, Pixhawk and a LGR control module. I've been going nuts trying to get my Pixhawk to do something, anything, with my Tarot X8 Retracts. The Receiver does it just fine, but I want the features Pixhawk offers, just up and down isn't satisfying for me. I've tried to get 3 different Pixhawks to work my retracts and have never even got a squeak from any of them.

Sounds like you're missing something as you can forward the RX channel as shown and it should work in the same way. Automation is then possible.. Best of luck

Where can I get a BEC like that? I looked the one you're using up and it's discontinued and out of stock everywhere, and anything even remotely like it is backordered. Is there another one you'd recommend? If I can't do it with a standalone BEC, how do you do this with an ESC? Thanks though, very informative.

Hello, I am trying to make a fixed wing UAV. via Task Planner When I selected the aileron and elevator options it wasn't turning fast enough. I played with min-max-trim settings but I didn't get any results. It spins faster when I connect it to a port like RC5. What settings do I need to change to rotate the wings? I am providing power from the BEC output of the ESC. Could this have something to do with this?

Thanks for the informative video. I do have a question for you. Since all the ports in my receiver are taken, I would like to ask you how can I set the servo to work in case I connect the servo to the AUX1 port (of the FMU-PWM-out) on the PM07 board (I have the Pixhawk4 Flight controller). Where do I set it inside Mission Planner? In QGC it is being done by setting the "RC_MAP_AUX1" parameter to match the exact channel on the RC. Thank you very much

No idea. Please post the answer when you get it working..
@avrahamcohen21343 жыл бұрын
@@Painless360 Well, a friend of mine just found the solution for me. Basically, in mission planner there are 16 servo functions. First 8 servo functions are not relevant in this scenario. You need to use the last 8 servo functions for it. So in order to set it, you first need to have BRD_PWM_Count set to 8 and set SERVO9_Function (for AUX1, or SERVO10_FUNCTION for AUX2, and so on) to the channel you want. There are several value options. But in short, 51 means channel 1, 52 means channel 2... 58 means channel 8 and so on. So, for example, if you want AUX1 to be controlled by channel 8, so you set SERVO9_FUNCTION=58.

Trim, min and max changes are not working, why it could be? the servo doesnt react to changes in those parameters.

Hi painless360. I have cube orange, and building vtol quad with engine. since main out has consumed by motor vtol and control surface, so i need aux for days I tried even with pix1, different firmware finally aux in pixhawk1 working and I didnt know how. but cube still cant produce any output at aux but working fine with input. can you tell me how to activated aux output?
@Painless360 Жыл бұрын
If you want to use all 6 Aux ports for Servo’s set the BRD_PWM_COUNT to 6 and supply 5v to one of the AUX power pins so that all of them are powered..

@@Painless360 I will try, thanks, but I have problem, main out from 5 to 8 has output at servo output but no pwm at pin 4 to 8. does my pixhawk was broken?
@RickardoPandiangan Жыл бұрын
@@Painless360 with firmware 4.3.7 the bar at servo output display the pwm level at aux if any. But at 4.1.x it did not display the bar servo output at aux. But there are pwm out but not displayed at GCS. I think it has inconsistent behaviour.

It seems that when it is enabled radio failsafe is triggered, followed by "no RC receiver" but only if I enable one of the auxiliary channels

Mr Painless, i am attempting to put gps on my tbs 2in1 fpvision can you perhaps point me in the right direction, i have looked on the tbs website and they do sell one but is it plug and play, would you know ? I am still loving fpv and your videos although recently as you can expect not done a great deal other than try to repair my Parrot Anafi with a failing eyesight and French engineering i found it impossible which is y i would like it to be plug n play and the other reason i cannot fly line of sight whereas fpv is perfect for myself. Best wishes, Al..
@Painless3604 жыл бұрын
When TBS say 'plug and play' it usually means with compatible kit. There are no standards for cable layouts or connectors in the hobby. I've created a series on the early TBS PowerCUBE stacks. GPS support is usually only worth doing if the flight controller is running ArduPilot or iNav. If it's not then all you'll get are GPS co-ords and a very basic 'rth' function from Betaflight.. See my iNav and Ardupilot builds.. Best of luck!
