Hi DJ Rachel!! DJ Ray Ray here. This video is awesome and what a cool venue!! Just an idea for you. For the ceremony site if you get in a bind for a power source look into an APC battery backup. I have this exact unit and it will power my laptop, active speaker, mixer and my wireless lapel mics. I can also use it for a cocktail hour system If I need to. Nice work on your wedding set up. Very neat and tidy!! I Use the APC BN1500M2 10 outlet battery pack. I bought mine at Staples. Have a great day!!

@@DJRachelLynch Bear in mind that UPS units are not designed for this...they do not provide pure sine-wave power and can introduce noise. It's better to go with a pure-sine wave lithium or even better a lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4) battery power station. Smaller, lighter, clean power, much more capacity, no noise, much faster charging. I own/use Golabs R300, Bluetti EB70S, and am waiting on a shipment of the new Bluetti EB3A.

They are “splash proof” and are wrapped in vinyl so not worried about spills. I can see them from my booth which is what’s most important to me. Extremely well made. Been using these for 4 years now, knocked over countless times. It’s all good! 😂

Nope. They were too bright for the look I wanted. I wasn’t sure how it would look at night, so I set them up, but ended up just liking the mirror ball and Apelabs up lights. Kept is simple and didn’t event use them. LESS IS MORE. 💯💯

@@DJRachelLynch I fully agree! Apelabs and the totems itself, made the job very nicely. In my case last weekend, also playing similar small wedding, there was not enough space for the totems. But I could use a bar desk for placing 2 movers (small ones 60w) and the rest was done by SoundSwitched uplights. More than enough...

I have a battery powered option as well. For now I have a JBL EON ONE Compact. I love my 30M and will always use that if I have access to power, but do have an alternative if that’s not possible. A favorite company of mine is going to be dropping something very soon and I’ll definitely be grabbing one. 😉

Depends on the event. Some are more complicated or have tight timelines and I definitely need the extra hands. Everything I own/use I can setup alone. I just leave myself extra time. My lighting is the easiest part!

hey DJ Rachel I use the Roland 707M as well, but I find that I have always adjust my gain when I load a new song on a deck. I am using a M1 MacBook pro 16' and VDJ and I have the autogain set to auto+remember. It is very frustrating having to adjust the gain every time a new track is load, because it wouldn't be bad if it did not go into the red but it always goes too high. Do toy have any suggestions. I have reached out to VDJ and nothing they have suggested has worked. By the way love your content all the time. Thanks
