I made this film in 1971 while a student at Art Center College of Design in LA. original It was longer with only sounds of the machines. CTW purchased it from me, edited it and added the music and kids. Made in the Freund Bakery (McDonalds) in Industry CA. Tom Bammel.

This was my Dad's student film, which CTW purchased from him. I used to see it on Sesame Street in the 80's. He was so touched to see it posted here and to read all of these nice comments.

Cool, I remember this. And it has to be Joe Raposo, it's his style of music, and he even sneaked in a kazoo. ~Ra'akone

The music is the best! They used it for all kinds of films. If your gonna have music that won't die it might as well be great music!

I must have seen every episode from 1969 to 1977, and I don't remember seeing this one until the fall of 1977.

Yes, I would like to see that one on KZbin as well! My most memorable line from that clip is 'Don't swallow it!' ('it' being the gum).

I suppose that's what the fling guard on the top of the mixer is for; to keep the strings of dough from being flung way up to the ceiling.
@d72jjpilc15 жыл бұрын
Nice memory - I think I remember the dough being spun around at the beginning and might have been mildly scared, but as the film progressed I thought 'Ah, THAT'S what they're doing!'

Uh, I think the dough was thrown out of the mixer and into a trough to bring it to the next chapter of its journey.

Other than McDonalds, Burger King and Wendy's, makes you wonder where you'd find the Krusty Krab on Spongebob Squarepants.

I’m guessing once the buns are cooled after coming out of the oven, they go to the packing machine where they get packed into a plastic bag and then the bagged hamburger buns are sent to grocery stores and supermarkets everywhere

The very first time that I watched this sketch, I didn't know what the heck it was. At first I thought they were eggs. Then I thought it was some kind of jewelry factory. Then in the end I found out they were hamburger buns. Plus I also thought that there were absolutely no people in this segment at all up until I found that there was at least one man at the beginning of the video. And of course I knew that in the end I heard a voice that sounded like a black kid to me between the ages of 8 and 10. My guess is that he was wearing a red short sleeved polo shirt, a pair of dark beige pants, white socks and black sneakers. That was what I thought it sounded like to me when I myself was a kid.
