That, sir, was one hell of finale! I absolutely loved it.

Really enjoyed this vid! I learned a lot watching the setup portion! I'm only shooting consumer fireworks at the moment, but watching your setup gave me a lot of ideas for making my show better!

Hey Dave. Awesome video and details as usual. This is Bill from the Northeast, another guy you helped get me licenses, a Pyrotalk member and who now shoots with (2) large display companies and has (3) of my own shows every year for my local town... So thanks again for all your informative direction. Regarding the Icon shells with the visco fuse. The explanation I got from them on this is they manufacture those lots with the capability of being flights and or fused for a finale in the field. That's why the e-port is present on all the chains. All in all the Icon shells are ok although I'm partial to the Yung Feng. Have fun and keep up the good work.

Sometimes the small communities will muster up a surprising amount for a good show. I grew up in a rural town barely touching a thousand residents and they usually raised between 10-15k for the 4th.

Dave, on the 'disguised' salute issue: I had some 2,5" shells labeled as ' Pearly white w tail'. I used them as an addition with some rapid firing consumer cakes (expecting them to be some sort of blinking/strobe effect) and created unintentionally a fake finale, wich was a nice touch to my backyard show… :-)

True visco fuse takes to long to burn and its not a finale fuse at all. Nice 1 Dave.

I don't want to be rude, but how much do you make a year on average? I love fireworks and this seems like a dream job, but Im curious how much a pyrotechnician makes.

Are you looking for a reason not to do your homework this weekend. I'll tell you how much it pays, the answer is do your homework and be on time for school after the holiday.

curly0117 Curly, the answer is, there is no answer. You do what you love, because you love it. Not because of the money. This is a hard concept for most people to live by these days, but it just works out when its passion. Look up the TV Show "Pyros". They do what they love, get paid for it, and have a TV show. Go for it for the love, not the money. /hippieTalk lol
