Thanks. Can we say that the term beam forming does not apply to uplink even if UE can produce a beam to the radio antenna set.

You’re welcome; yes the term "Beamforming" might be somehow misleading for UL, since we are not talking about uplink beams but rather about an adaptation of the UL Rx directivity patern in such a way as to create a peak gain to the direction of the transmitting UE.
