Edward Williams Kuntam was born and brought up in Andhra Pradesh where his parents Satyadas and Rajamma were good Christian lay persons in the Church of South India and Indian Pentecostal Church, Eluru. He has good memories of studying in CSI English Medium School, St. Xavier's High School and Sir. C R Reddy College, all at Eluru.
After completing his BA in Economics and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and Administration with advertisement as specialization, Edward worked as marketing manager for a cable-manufacturing unit, for three years. But, he had a great desire to advertise his master and savior, Jesus Christ, to the college and university students and therefore joined Union of Evangelical Students of India as student counselor in 1990. He ministered to students in most of the universities and colleges for ten years. He then became the State Secretary of Andhra Pradesh and gave leadership till 2006.
As the State Secretary, he traveled across the state and also in other parts of India to preached or took seminars in prestigious institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Gundy, IISC Bangalore, JNU Delhi, Central University Pondicherry, JIPMER Pondicherry and CMC Vellore. As RZIM trained apologist he taught in their regional seminars on subjects like Logic, fallacies, and Pantheism. He taught spiritual leadership in Haggai regional seminars on subjects like spiritual leadership and communication.
Along with that, Edward has been the host of Nireekshana since 2000. Nireekshana is a weekly television show sponsored by CBN India and was aired on TV9 for over six years and now being aired on Sakshi TV four times a week. Over the years, his passion for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ has made him to strive hard to reach out to millions of viewers. He was also the blogger and web interactive manager for an IPTV called “TipriTV’ that reaches the diaspora Indians. He has two post graduate degrees - MA advanced in Homiletics from SAIACS, Bangalore and MA in Christian Studies from Madras University.
Edward’s wife, Christy Rose, did her MA Theology at SAIACS. In the recent past, she was burdened to minister to the eunuchs and gays and therefore started a church for LGBT community at Eluru. Now, by the grace of God, Redeem Ministry grew to eight churches - for Hijras at Eluru, Sarpavaram, Palakole, Vijayawada, and Bhimavaram; and for gays at Amalapuram and Kakinada. The gay culture has become rampant in India after the government-legalized homosexuality, which anyhow was reversed by the Supreme Court. Edward and Christy are happy to be part of this unique ministry, which is very challenging in many ways. Apart from these churches, God also laid a burden to start a Church in the rural area of Bangalore, Yerrappannahalli. A Few years back the villagers never allowed a pastor to start a church but now by the grace of God, Redeem church is growing steadily. Christy and Edward are blessed with two daughters Sharon and Ruth, both born again and burdened to be part of the ministry in the Yerrappannahalli. Sharon is pursuing Mass media, Journalism and Psychology for her graduation. Ruth is pursuing Engineering.

Brothers, More time has been wasted to discuss rules and for moderation rather than discuss objectively the subject. Then, I agree with Ranjith garu one thing that as we grow in the Lord, we get more deeper revelations of the Word of God and thus it cannot be construed as a cyclic argument. For example, he also once accepted pre-tribulation rapture but as he grew in the Lord, he accepted mid-tribulation rapture. But when we see the Word of God the secret coming of the Lord did not happen even till the time of Armageddon. I am not sure whether Armageddon will happen before tribulation or at mid of tribulation or towards the end of tribulation (which is generally expected) but the Lord's second coming or the secret coming will happen at the time of Armageddon as per Rev 16:15-16. - “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. Thus, I think we need to see all the verses related to secret coming of Lord before coming to conclusion on this matter. Now coming to Timothy's circumcision since Paul has got him circumcised for spreading the gospel among Jews, we cannot say I will become a sorcerer to save sorcerers or drunkard to save the drunkards or a Hindu to save the Hindus etc. In fact, Lord shared the gospel to Jews first and Paul and other apostles also followed the same pattern. They first shared the gospel to the Jews spread all over the world. Why? Because they only can understand the law, prophets and the history and the importance of Jesus, the Messiah well and better than non-Jews and thus to interpret the scriptures their knowledge and background is very much essential and so the gospel was preached to the Jews first and thus there could have been a need for circumcision of Timothy to make him more accessible to the Jews who were blinded by the law. Whereas with non-Jews there was no such burden of the law. Thus, circumcision of Timothy was done only as a means to reach the Jews not for the salvation of the sinners both Jews and non-Jews for all are saved by grace through faith working through love as was said in Galatians 5. The reason for getting circumcision to Timothy is not to get him saved, He get him circumcised because he was sending him to Jewish congregation, they will not accept him unless he gets Circumcision. Sai garu clearly mentioned it, but Ranjith Ophir team ignored and miss led.

Allegorical interpretation is only for explaining things, but not to make it like a statement or a point. By making statements based on Allegorical interpretation, it cannot be called as literal. Brother Ranjith Ophir garu, you should not make it like a statement, you can always say it like Allegorical, but don't say it is the final interpretation. We all accept Bible as authorized because God is the author for it, but for your book you are the author, you authoritativeness is only limited to your follower, not to every one right?

Ranjith Garu cannot say one is finding fault with his words like Pharisees. Because words change the meaning or the interpretation of the verses. Many differences in Christianity are due to different interpretations of the same Word of God. Thus, misinterpretation leads to false teachings and false doctrines. These days for liberals it has become a fashion to call those who are obedient to the Word of God as Pharisees. But they should remember that Pharisees of the old used the Word of God for their selfish gains and since Jesus opposed that He was killed by them. Is questioning Ranjith garu equivalent to conspiring against Jesus or to harm Ranjith garu? No. The very purpose of the discussion is to clear questions on perceived misinterpretations or misunderstandings of his book by other Christian brethren. As well as try to see if one can arrive at the true meaning of those verses and a probable consensus. But by using the word Pharisees Ranjith garu seemed to be evading the issues or questions. It has become a fashion these days for those who misuse the grace of God to brand someone who question them as Pharisees. Of course we can be kind and forgiving on the ignorant but at scholarly level either we defend ourselves if we are right, if not we will accept our mistakes with humility if we realize that we are wrong. It is the Pharisees actually who do not want to correct themselves even if they are wrong due to their ego. In regard to Isaiah 34 it seems that chapter is talking about a future prophecy. For example it was said in verse 4 that sky will recede like a scroll. Did it happen yet? No. Also from Peter we know that sky will recede like scroll in the future. Verse 8 says all these happen after the day of Lord's vengeance. Who knows then land of Edom will become a land for those birds forever in the future? Thus, though doctrines must be confirmed by two or three other verses using the two birds allegory to support that doctrine is not a proper way to support that doctrine just because number two was used in that verse. Thus, Ranjith Garu argument is not at all acceptable in this regard.Though his attitude is friendly when it comes to critical discussion he seems to be adopting a blaming attitude. May be as he is being targeted by many I wonder if he is going too defensive of himself. Hope Truth wins ultimately and all are edified and corrected as needed in their lives including me. About Ranjith garu doubt in Galatians 5 Paul argued from verse 1 and gave conclusion in verse 6. He said finally that there is no benefit from Christ by getting circumcised or not getting circumcised but faith working through love has benefit from Christ. So, if Titus/Timothy/ Paul has faith working through love in them then they will be saved or blessed by God. Why Paul got Timothy circumcised is probably to give him an entry into Jewish community to preach the gospel as he knows circumcision avails nothing and also because Timothy is a half-Jew. Paul wanted to preach about the salvation to Jews through Jesus, the Messiah of the Jews in their synagogues. But to enter the synagogues and preach to them one must be a Jew thus Paul might have got Timothy circumcised so that Timothy can help Paul with his work in synagogues and to work with Jews. But always remember who gave the law of circumcision in the first place. So getting circumcised is not a sin against God though it does not give a person salvation. Getting circumcised to preach the gospel is different from getting circumcised to follow the OT law.
