Nice setup, I looked at this desk but ended up diy because I have an analog console. It took some time to build but came out perfect. I have around 400 cables in it and all is fitted in electrical cabinet cable trays. No cables visible and nothing on the ground. Costs was around 250 euro on materials. My space was tight so it was impossible to find anything that would fit.

Wow that sounds great, kudos on DIY ing it! Do you have a link to see it? Have a great Sunday

Hey! Thanks for this. How would I raise the back part of the table to be level with the front? Would really appreciate your advice!
@RapidFlow_Shop3 ай бұрын
There are extra pre drilled screw holes at the back. Just remove the back table, move the screws up a bit and lay in the table part again.

Really great!! Thanks. I can’t make up my mind on the Gustav vs the Oktav… all my stuff will fit on the Oktav, and the Gustav will make it hard to get behind the desk cause of my relatively small room. I do like the more angular shape, feels more like a cockpit 😎

Can't go wrong here... But studios tend to grow ;)

nice, but I need 78-80cm on top of the table but the desk looks great, well organized

Hi great review, I noticed you store some gear below the table, did you also add rack rail below ? ... I am really looking into the Oktav 2.0, would be great to get some ideas.
@RapidFlow_Shop3 ай бұрын
No the gear there is just loosely stacked... If I had more I would get rails.

@@RapidFlow_Shop maybe one more question, I am thinking of adding wheels (with breaks) instead of the rubber legs provided by session desk for the oktav. Do you know anyone who has done that, or is it safe ? Thought of it since my setup is in my bedroom, I often need to move the table for cleanup.
@RapidFlow_Shop3 ай бұрын
@@jasperdany I havent dont that and my feeling is the wood at the base is too thin to drill holes big enough to insert wheels into... You could definitely improvise something with placing it on a metal rolling structure etc. Best would be to contact Sessiondesk in Europe who would likely know if there s an easy way to do this.

@@RapidFlow_Shop Hi, I checked the default legs come with a M8 screwhead, so I just assumed that any wheel with M8 screwhead should work, anyways. I will check with Session desk before I do that.

@@jasperdany Indeed, but putting sideways strain on those holes is different than the weight of the table pushing down on it I reckon...

Thank you so much for the review! Heavily considering pulling the trigger on a session desk. It has all the features Im looking for down to a tee. Curious, is there anything else on the market you've considered in recent times? If you were to rebuy a desk in 2024, would you still get a gustav? Many thanks as always for your insightful content!

I've had a horrible experience with sessiondesk, we went back and forth for 3 months..everytime the desk arrived it had some damage on it, especially the color...all the upper slats had different shades of gray..basically i had a rainbow desk ..until thomann finally decided to send me a brand new desk
@RapidFlow_Shop5 ай бұрын
Wow that s terrible to hear... My experience with them has been great.

@@RapidFlow_Shop and one more thing..they didnt put enough screws in the package )) But no negativity towards sessiondesk.. in the end I still like the desk (even if it's too fragile)... maybe it was just bad luck that day

Hi, would it hold (due to weight), on top of the top outside racks units, right on the shelf above, a 17 kgs speaker like the Adam Audio A77H which are as wide as the shelves but a bit deeper? Thanks very much :)
@RapidFlow_Shop4 ай бұрын
Yes I think this is not problem, the Construction is super solid. I had EMES Blue actives there which weigh 18.2 KG per side and it was no problem for me.
