I mean in Norse mythology(and Marvel Comics) Loki is both bi and gender-fluid(he is the father of Fenris(the wolf Hulk fights in Ragnarok), Hel(or Hela as she is called in Marvel), and Jormungunder the World Serpent and he is the mother of Sleipnir(Odins 8 legged horse)) and the first episode confirmed he is gender-fluid(in his file his sex is listed as fluid) Its funny i was suprised to find out this is the first time its mentioned i guess i have always thought its the same as the comics like Valkyrie is bi but the 2 maybe 3 scenes that showed this in Ragnarok had to either be cut out or shortened so her sexuality wont be shown until the next Thor movie(it has already been confirmed she is bi in the MCU though).

Other than being around longer and being told to many generations, mythology and the MCU are not different. Great stories, that take liberties with rules of reality. I was also a fan of Hercules, The Legendary Journeys and Xena Warrior Princess. They took plenty of liberties with many mythologies they used to tell their stories. They too ticked off many fans.

the thing about oratory mythology is each story teller takes liberties. Loki has both been a brother to thor and a brother to odin at different points. There was also stories where his element is fire instead of ice. so Marvel isnt so different... they are just another story teller making their own twists.

Maybe. But If he had a working time stone he wouldn't 'need' Sylvie at all, nor look genuinely shocked when the ark was destroyed. He could just wind it back to a few hours before the meteor hit the ark (time they spent on the train) to charge the timepad. Less story drama than Mobius, searching apocalypses for him, saving them seconds before moon destruction.

He'd just be time travelling into apocalypses minutes or hours before the end - how much time was passing for him in the TVA or Lamentis-1 would be irrelevant because he sets the arrival time in the destination timeline, like we've seen with every other variant response in the show.

I feel like fans put their own expectations over the character. Loki in the MCU has 1500 ish years. He's layer after layer of history of surviving Odin's court as, nothing more and nothing less, a Prince. He is never going to be what anyone though he's gonna be. Just like Thor. Both are very complex characters and their relationship with emotions and relations and interactions are different. I just loved the singing part. Its so, so good the whole imaginery of him as a that artist and creative soul that Thor always said that he was. Beautiful timming and acting by Tom. Great reaction as always!

I think Loki has Sylvie under his enchantment and by him always asking Sylvie how to do enchantments and sharing personal stuff about himself is to throw off Sylvie that he got her under to extract information from her. That time lapse on the train when she was asleep is most likely when Loki first put her under and they can still be on the train and Sylvie figure it out in the next episode.

​@@oklahomie95 Sylvie recognized that she was on that moon right away because she was there before which is a memory and if you have watched Ragnarok Loki got into Valkyrie's mind and in the second episode Loki identified that Sylvie was using enchantment and it was a cheap trick and the reason he was acting like he couldn't do enchantment to disarm Sylvie that he was actually enchanting her which I think she will figure out in the next episode and wake up on the train.

How are variants made variants? It doesn’t make much sense. If there is only one blip on the timeline they should be very similar. The only way this works is multiverse and different types of Lokis jump from timeline to timeline. Loki himself felt “off” in the episode. Does a variant change after he or she becomes a variant? He’s not the 2012 Loki even though he was a short time ago. Loki was horrified that “they are letting all those people die” when a very short time ago he was willing to kill many in New York. Something is very off.

Remember that he felt that way before because of his sense of inferiority, feeling unwanted and not respected. So they made him similar to the Loki from Thor Ragnarok by showing him his entire life in the first episode (basically he saw all his mistakes, that his family actually loves him, etc.). I think he is limited to just push and pull towards himself form of telekinesis. But if it was an illusion, it still would’ve crushed them. He can make things look different but can’t actually change them

Definitely love her character ,, a great addition to the MCU.. They have a lot of potential here if they keep doing her right... This variant could just be the enchantress version for the MCU... The enchantress is a cool ass character one of my favorite female badish characters...
