11:10-11:20 Before this moment, I had massive suspicions, but I tried to 'dismiss' it as "world ended, everything's different. Maybe she's f-ing around. We've seen stranger than this." 14:29-14:38 "Not the kind of penetration she was hoping for." I do not know if that was genuine "I said it before I thought about it, embarrassment, or perfectly done 'faux' embarrassment." But I loved that comment. 20:45-20:52 "He will not succumb to the bite" Even if Laurent is immune to being turned, I see 2 major problems. 1. Just because he did endure and survive the bite, doesn't mean that immunity could be passed on, by transfusion, marrow transplant, procreation, etc. And 2. The (I can't spell what they called them, so I'm sticking with Walkers) walkers don't need, nor desire to turn you. They desire to consume you. Laurent isn't immune to being ripped to pieces, nor will anyone who inherits his supposed "immunity" 23:12-23:13 I don't know more than a handful of phrases in French. If you'd asked me how to say "Good Luck" in French, I would have been dumbfounded. I know a little bit of Spanish, a fair amount of Romanian, a good bit of Tagalog (which has Spanish influences) but the instant he said "Bon chance" [sp?] I recognized it. Bon is good in French, Buna is good in Romana, Bueno/Bien is good in Spanish (and in many cases in Tagalog) Chance converts to the English "chance" which is a matter of luck, when I heard it, I knew it. My limited knowledge of Russian doesn't come into this equation. Spanish, French, Romanian, Italian and Portuguese are considered "the Romance Languages" and upon investigation there are many places they intersect and many places hey diverge. I used to know a guy who learned French in school, but was raised speaking Spanish (Mexican not Spain) at home from an American English school system. He was about 95% on understanding Portuguese, though he'd never actually learned any of it directly. 233:30-23:40 "You could have asked about a couple phrases" I do believe they only discussed how much French either of them knew, _after_ they landed in France. It would have been a good question to ask the first day of the flight "hey, do you speak French?" But since the subject never really appears to have come up, 26:14-26:17 Since my French is horrible and I can't reconstruct the word in my head to try to identify it, I am waiting eagerly for a pair of reactors I follow to react to this episode. I expect it in another day or two. One of them is British, the other French. [Someone here, I'm sure will know whom I'm talking about, but I'm not here to promote someone's channel] 27:25-27:30 At this moment, I could see the "pacifist" deciding _now_ is when he needs to use a weapon. It would mean he's not as pacifist as he believes himself to be, but I could definitely see that happening. [We humans are never quite as good as we think we are]

To the ladies in the research station, the guy was as far as they know the last man on Earth.

36:05 TWD finds great acting talent. There are so many people who can show up for a single episode and you feel like they just belong in that universe. For example, who was the guy that befriended Michonne in TOWL? I forget his name, but man, that guy brought out all the emotions, and he was there for just the one episode.

Yeah, that look in your eyes when you saw the part where Emile betrayed our heroes, that got me WORSE than I already knew it would. For what it’s worth, Jess, said betrayal hurt me rather badly as well, and I feel your pain on this one.

I got immediate bad vibes from the 2 women and when they started talking like environmental nuts during the apocalypse, I knew they were crazy. I thought Carol was going to get the woman to look at the pretty flowers till he shot her with the flair gun. Can't trust anyone in the apacooypse!!!! Even friendlies will try to kill you

You are exactly right. Carol has honed her false demeanors and manipulation skills during her time with Ed. Not gonna trauma dump, but learning how to make yourself non-threatening, or helpful or manipulating situations and people to stay unhurt and/or get what you need to survive is critical in a domestic abuse scenario. Carol turned those things into strengths, and her losing loved ones along the way gave her the "whatever it takes to protect what's left of mine" and "I've had the worst happen (losing Sophia, etc..) so I can endure what needs to be done better than anyone else (and I deserve it more too" thoughts and feelings. Apologies for the stream of consciousness writing. Hope it made sense. Another great reaction and discussion.

I always wondered how these two scientists didn’t think about how the genetic pool of two women and one man could not repopulate the Earth. Well not with people who can function.

Carol recognised a coercive and controlling relationship with Hanna being the victim and Eun being the dominant partner. She helped her break free. The tragedy is that Hanna could think about her future and was starting to feel positive but Ash thought she was a threat and shot without knowing the full story. Carol decided he should not have to bear the guilt so lied to him about the necessity of killing Hanna.

That kiss was so awkward. No real lead up, no hugs or blouse ripping or slamming against a wall... And how much better this show and The Ones Who Live would be if Rick and Daryl had reunited with each other rather than with Carol and Michonne. Boat missed.
