Steven is almost like Layla and Marcs child .. He has a childlike wonder and thinks you can talk your way out of a gun fight and impaling 😍 Love this show and Oscar Issac so so much

Persephone Personified - nah, don't forget Layla and Marc are professional world travelers and proficient fighters while Steven is the eccentric, everyman who leads a comparatively mundane existence (as far as he knew). He aint used to constantly getting shot at, defending himself against spear-wielding bodyguards or being car chased by trained killers so ofc he comes off naive in certain situations. imo, Steven is more like the highly intelligent, innocent, somewhat annoying brother to Marc, not their child

I love Indiana Jones meets The Mummy influenced in this episode. RIP Gaspard Ulliel. I also loved the hints to Jake Lockley in this show since episode 1. The visuals in this series are marvelous. The fight scenes in this episode were phenomenal. Arthur Harrow gives me Baron Zemo, Erik Killmonger, Thanos, and Ikaris vibes. Arthur Harrow is an excellent and terrifying villain. Arthur Harrow is also the king of gaslighting. The music in the show is terrific. The imprisoning of Khonshu was a fantastic scene. The other Gods have no chill and their bias against Khonshu.

I do hope that since, I’ve been told it’s called the Mr. Knight suit, which is the sharper suit, made a return appearance that we will keep seeing it throughout this show, because I am here for that.

The thing about Marc telling Layla she's never known him... yeah, it's harsh. But it's harsh for him, too. He just acknowledged that he doesn't even know himself.

I love your reactions. Also liked the story as a whole. The idea that there is a third identity that both Marc and Steven are unaware of is more than a little unnerving. I think that Harrow is either a sociopath, or a serial killer, or close to it when Khonshu made him an avatar. Either way, he is now one with a sense of purpose. That makes him VERY dangerous.

Im really hoping that the 3rd alter doesnt fall into the "evil peraonality" trope. It would be a shame because practically every DID system in fiction always have some evil alter (most notably SPLIT) which is so unlikely and perpetuates a stigma and fear

What I get from it is that #3 is the protector. What Marc is to Steven, #3 is to Marc. I think he's also looking out for Steven in a different day -- I'll bet the mysterious date to a steakhouse was him.

@@Izanami037 Marc slapped the kid, whereas when Marc came too, the kid was limping i’d assume Jake broke his leg or ankle. Just a theory though, could very easily be wrong

Fun reaction guys as always! In the comics Marc was part of a mercenary group that killed a bunch of archeologists, but he rebelled against the leader and that was why he ended up 'little more than a corpse'. I hope/suspect that Marc didn't personally kill Layla's father (although it is obvious he was there when it happened). Lastly... WOW. They inferred in this episode that there 3rd alter/personality is a stone cold killer (rather than a mercenary with a moral compass like Marc), and I think that is someone even Marc is afraid of. BY the way... this reminds me a HELL of alot of Iron Fist season 2, where Alice Eve's character was a captured former military who created two additional alter's to protect herself, with one being totally innocent and the other a scary ass killer of the highest degree.

Another EXCELLENT episode! With lots of indication towards a 3rd alter, aka Jake Lockley. Also, although I can understand why some would think Marc or Jake killed Layla’s dad, I don’t think that’ll be the case. If it’s anything like how the comics played out (which the references to it so far seem to be pretty accurate to it) then I have a feeling I know who did kill him but I’m not gonna say for potential spoilers sake. Those who have read MK comics will know who I’m talking about

Episode 3 Immediate thoughts… First…RIP to Gaspard Ulliel (actor who portrayed Mogart). He passed away this Jan before this show could air. Second…did anyone catch that reference to Madripoor? That’s the first tie into the other aspects of the MCU we’ve gotten in this show. Sharon was “off the grid in Madripoor”. And from my recollection a lot of shady, black market transactions happen in that city/country. So it fits with the Layla reference. There’s definitely a 3rd personality that neither Marc nor Steven know about. And based on that fact several things are in question. Is Marc the one who killed those people and saved Steven when he woke up in the Alps? Or was it the 3rd alter? The “police” said Marc was part of team that killed an archaeologist with a shot to the back of the head. But was that really the 3rd alter? Was it the 3rd alter who asked that lady out on a date in episode 1 for Steven? It seems like Khonshu isn’t aware of the 3rd alter. Maybe he thinks Marc is the one doing all the killing and it really isn’t him. I thought the hearing/trial scenes were meh. First…why was Khonshu yelling everything? Second…clearly he’s no lawyer cause that was the worse pleading of a case I’ve ever heard. He was entirely unprepared. He had no proof whatsoever. Harrow showed up, told some lies and painted Marc in the worst light ever. It was clear the other Gods are indifferent and totally unaware of what Harrow is doing. And why? Because people aren’t worshipping them the way they used to? Khonshu at least still cares enough about humanity to try and stop Harrow. Also...Marc was basically discredited because he has an illness. Isn't that quite a comment current society. Liked seeing the flip of Khonshu needing Steven’s help at the end. He’s basically had no use for him up til now. On the other hand….Khonshu was also like, “feck them tides.” Lemme revert this night sky back about 2000 years. LOL! Now that Khonshu has been imprisoned…seems like a side quest is in order to free him before Marc/Steven can summon Moon Knight/Mr Knight again and eventually stop Harrow. I can’t quite figure out what Harrow’s beef is with Khonshu. There’s definitely more going on than Khonshu punishing evil-doers too late. It’s more personal for Harrow. I may be back later with more thoughts later but this is what I have for now.

Sometimes it takes the body weeks to recover... Let your body tell you when it feels better to do something... Last week I felt a pop in my biceps in the crook of my elbow while working out and am just now able to let that arm go through the motions ( no weight ) for contracting and extending without any pain... Listen to your body, get well, and then push on at a slow pace as needed...

So apparently the personality in the first episode that was kicking ass in the flashes might not even have been Marc. Marc is a badass soldier guy but apparently there is someone much more violent

@@yousifxx2296 Jake (third personality) was the one fighting in episode one, he appears to only take control when Marc/Steven are extremely stressed, Marc probably took control after the logs and took the scarab back to London

Pretty cool X-Men connection in this episode. Madripoor the location mentioned ""After Madripoor I'm sure you two will have alot to talk about"" first made it's appearance in New Mutants #32 and has been an important location for many X-Men stories with Wolverine/Logan even buying the Princess Bar a location he spends alot of time at in Madripoor. This bar also appears in the background of one of the shots in Falcon and the Winter Solider with episode 3 of the show taking place in Madripoor being it's first appearance within the MCU. This doesn't mean that the X-Men or mutants in general exist in the MCU but I do find it interesting that Disney and Marvel are finally introducing places from the X-Men/New Mutants comic's maybe there building up the introduction of Mutants and X-Men in the MCU setting up the places first. We saw Prehistoric Dinosaurs for a second in the Doctor Strange 2 trailer which may be the Savage Lands another very important location from the X-Men first showing up in X-Men #62. All we can do is wait I guess.

Just remember that in the last episode that Khonsu said that Marc was a corpse and the fake police mentioned that everybody on the dig was killed execution style. So Harrow really is BSing. Also think on this, Marc was probably hired to protect the did and someone attacked it,. Maybe they will say that it was Harrow or one of his cronies or someone else. What I like about this episode is that we see that Khonsu is willing to sacrifice himself to stop Ahmit's release.

In episode 1, Steven had a little chat with a schoolgirl, who asked him something like 'how did you feel about being rejected from the Field of Reeds?' Steven replied 'I'm not dead'. Could the girl have known that he was Marc Spector? If so, was she an avatar of another god? One of the downers of the IMDb chat being closed down, those trolls have messed it up for all those that want to discuss certain aspects of our favourite shows...

Honestly, and please don't roast me for this, but this was a lackluster episode. Don't get me wrong, I'm still digging the show so far. It's just that, outside of a couple of things, nothing really major happened. It was nice to see actor Gaspard Ulliel in his final role here as Anton Mogart (I guess he's the character known as Midnight Man, because in the comics, he's a "collector" of fine arts). Sucks that, in my opinion, he was wasted in this episode (Apparently, he's slated to be in the remainder of the show, so he's not outrightly dead). Also, I understand why Marc is emotionally distancing himself from Layla for her protection, but come on now. Now, Layla and Steven on the other hand (which I am officially dubbing "Stayla")? I adore them greatly. I hope next week's episode is better. Apparently, some crazy thing happens next week. Fingers crossed I enjoy it next week. Glad you're feeling better, milady.
