I see other facets and layers to this genius writing such as, Wanda and Vision are part of our archetypal future, it was initially presented to us via the past, as we are now merging with the Age of Aquarius, and vision personifies Uranus and Aquarius, and Wanda our feminine Age of Pisces past, this last age was all delusion deception, silver screen projection, actor based reality all in an attempt to keep out true potential hidden. Slowly the collective is being woken, woken to face the trauma woken to let the shared fantasy we created go. I truly hope Marvel give us a glimmer of hope in the last episode.

Probably the best part about these shows is that they're going to be able to dig into and flesh out characters who, because of how crowded the movies are, just don't have enough screen time. Vision has always been one of my favorite characters in the comics; the noble, kindhearted android fascinated with humanity and a deep longing to connect and belong. Marvel and Paul Bettany have done such a wonderful job translating him to the screen. As heartbreaking as it is, it's beautiful to watch him and Wanda interact.

The deed with the “to grow old in” was the part that totally broke my heart in this episode. It was a reminder of the life Wanda could have had, if everything hadn’t gone wrong. If the aftermath of the civil war hadn’t kept her and Vision apart, stuck on opposing sites (kinda like a Romeo and Juliet situation, two lovers forced to meet in secret because their “families” don’t approve of the other. And we all know how tragically that story ends), if Thanos hadn’t been a major threat to earth and to Vision in particular (in his hunt for the infinity stones), if he hadn’t killed Vision and then snapped Wanda, along with half of all life in the universe. This is the life that Wanda is now trying to create inside the hex, but she knows that it ultimately isn’t real, and that it likely won’t last.

White Vision here is Operation: Cataract as referenced earlier in the show. It does come from the comic books when Vision was destroyed by the bad guys, and when they rebuilt him he was just an emotionless android. He eventually reverted back to his original self through convoluted and whacky ways they can only get away with in comics. Fun fact: the creators of Vision originally wanted him to be white, but printing technology back in the 1960s would have made it difficult for him to stand out on the comic book page.

It seems old TV sitcoms were Wanda's escape, her happy place, when things were too hard to deal with. After losing everyone she ever loved, when it was just too much to bear anymore, Wanda, in her grief, used her powers to create her happy place, then retreated inside it. She only wants to not hurt anymore. Hers is a truly heartbreaking, tragic story. When she fell to her knees & broke down, unable to take any more, I openly wept for her. Elizabeth Olsen's acting in this is phenomenal. So are the acting of Paul Bettany & Kathryn Hahn. That line of Vision's, "What is grief, if not love, persevering?", was heartbreakingly beautiful. White Vision is a version of Vision from the comics. Just like in the show, he got destroyed and was then rebuilt. Wanda was already married to him and had the twins at this point. When he was rebuilt, Wonderman refused to allow a second scan of his brainwaves patterns to restore Vision's personality- Wonderman's brainwave patterns were used as scaffolding for Vision when he was first created. Without the full restoration he was not only blank in color but emotionally as well. It put an obvious strain on his and Wanda's marriage being able to remember the memory of a feeling but not being able to connect to that feeling anymore. In some ways this reflected a soldier recovering from a fatal injury coming home to his wife- all healed up physically but left emotionally hollow from the trauma on the inside.

More on The Vision topic. Paul may have trolled the fans on who the big cameo was. It could be him fighting himself.

Glad you had a safe trip. Oh and sleep deprivation requires you to restore over the same amount of time you went without sleep. So it is normal to have that feeling but you should feel right as rain in the morning! Thanks again for the reaction!

In the comics, the first thing White Vision does is go to Wanda and his kids and tell them he doesn’t love them. Basically in the comics, they tried to resurrect and repair vision, however when he came back he was incapable of having and emotions.
