That's so lovely, Leslee, thank you! I wish I had Lee's dedication to learning languages, as my Portuguese is minimal after 1 year here. It was difficult speaking it during our 7 months in the Algarve as everyone spoke excellent English, and I've relied on Lee's language skills ever since 🤣 I need to channel his drive and determination and get cracking on Duolingo Portuguese, and leave Spanish for another time! ~ Mandy

WOW, love the market in Setubal! Beautiful tile work inside, the least to say and what a great variety of food at great prices. You are finding yummy food and such great prices. I am on a mission to search for value priced foods now, too... LOL Oh and Baba de camelo is my favourite, too.

The Mercado do Livramente is stunning, and I just wish we'd fixed the flicker issue back then as I couldn't use most of the footage. There are so many different stalls with great prices, not quite as cheap as the excellent Caldas da Rainha market but pretty impressive nonetheless! It was the first time we'd tried Baba de Camelo, and yes it's delicious 😁😃 ~ Mandy

Hello Eulalie. Yes, wine is so reasonably priced in Portugal... I think it's the best value tasty wine I've had in the 100+ countries we've visited! We found some excellent restaurants in Setúbal... Hi Mandy & Lee, wow fabulous video, shows exactly what a market in Portugal is like, great for people watching who may never have been to anything like this before. So glad you finally got to try baba de camelo (camel dribble) my favorite dessert in Portugal. I have noted the name of that restaurant as I always had to shop around to find a food venue that was serving it. Still amazed at the lunch prices - who said Europe has to be expensive, and these places you are getting the authentic local cuisine. I would have had a jug of bubbles in celebration too! Must admit I never tried any Portuguese bubbles, but top of my list now. Thanks guys, awesome job! I am loving your life in Portugal.

It was great to be able to show the different wares and the prices. Portugal is such an amazing place, with delicious food and drink, friendly people and gorgeous buildings, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to travel in Europe! We won't be here forever, as there's so much more of this beautiful world to see, but we're certainly enjoying the wonderful places, sights and food we're experiencing now 😃😁🇵🇹 ~ Mandy

I have seen several travel videos and there are only three sites that I have formally subscribed to, one is yours. I have not seen another site that provides so much information in such a friendly and clear way. The other two sites relate to Italy. I also love olives and buy the Kalamata olives with chili at the Victoria Market here in Melbourne. Thanks for showing the various markets where you stay and also the supermarkets. BTW here in Bright (where we went for three days) 1/2 a foccacia costs A $17.00!

They are amazing and at around €3 a kilo impossible to pass by! Oh my word... $17 for half a focaccia! I think when go back to Perth to visit family we'll be living off Vegemite toast from Coles! 😂😂

Hello Kay. I couldn't believe how inexpensive that breakfast was! I'm kicking myself that I didn't get a photo of the outside of the cafe as it looked quite fancy,, and was always full of locals! Oz is a lot dearer in comparison, but the wages are higher as well, so it makes travelling in Portugal very affordable! That said some music is played in so many YT videos that it gets annoying! Yep, it's nice that u guys do the price conversion, you should do the same if talking about weight, speed and lengths as some are still using pounds and miles!
