Bernard, that's how we were raised, that's why the selfishness comes naturally to us. We look out just for our own. If you get into power and you don't act selfish, your own family will call you all kinds of names. We need some reconditioning and we also have to be conscious of how we raise our children. We don't have the concept of the common good (in our culture). That's partly why we have politicians who are more interested in V8 than fixing the roads so that all manner of cars can move. Same reason we have party delegates who are more interested in instant gratification than addressing issues that would benefit everyone in their community.

the citizens should set a good example , live by that example and through it birth leadership which is reflection of that example. We always blame leadership as if they descend from the skies.
