I know what you mean, the last moment I saw my dad was in the hospital while he was battling cancer. And he had tubes in his throat and an oxygen mask on. The worst thing I've ever seen, and I can never get that out of my head. I can not wait for this new album. Cody, you relate to my life so damn well

This song helps me with my dad. He has a lot of issues with mental health and has attempted multiple times. Not to mention he's a heavy smoker + cancer runs in our family. I've lost the "daddy's little girl" bond I had with him and it's absolutely destroying me to watch him fall apart. I want to take him away from his problems. I'd much rather endure them myself. We could just run away and me and my old man could be happy and be a family.

i saw my mom at the same situation as your father, Cody and it was an awful thing to me that i remember every single time someone talks about Cancer.. but thanks to god she's a survivor of cancer, and now she is fine and healthy :)

i feel like this is going to be my favorite song bc for the past year and a half i have been dealing with situation after situation that i cant control and it has been tearing me apart so much to the point that i now live at a college 4hrs away from my family for those reasons and this is a type of song i think is really gonna hit home with me. thank you for always writing amazing music never stop
