3:15 you can, and on Xbox. You just press and hold both triggers to engage the "Add Module" option. Continue holding both triggers at the desired attachment point and press A. This will bring up the modules menu but only have allowed items. It's another "hidden" control like pressing B while flying your ship to get up from the cockpit. For whatever reason, on Xbox they don't tell or show you the available function but it's there and works.

This is new to me, thanks, I tried it and it does work. I usually ship build on my PC but this will come in handy.

I only play on Xbox and was a little frustrated with the fact that PC had it but Xbox didn't. So a little googling and a few reddit posts later, I found this answer and was set from there. 😊

That is freaking amazing! Thank you so much for commenting and sharing. My goal is to try and be inclusive to both PC and XBOX users, and this hidden tip is very helpful.

good video bro, I spend a lot of time building ships and these techniques are very useful to me, anyway I came to this video looking for a way to place the modules off axis, but not vertically, I want to do it horizontally, for example, to achieve a tip for the ship using two nova wings, do you know how to do that? I have seen some builds with that technique

Console players can make changes thru the Xbox app on PC then go back to console to play the game. So, if you have a regular PC or even a bad one, you can build your ship and then go back to playing on console.
