Helena was a very beautiful woman and fun fact she had a son named Jaremka which is my surname :D

I ordered the book the first day of the month and I got it today. That's about 2 weeks after I ordered it. So very happy! Such stunning illustrations! I just did a little practice on the bookmarker that came with it. Thank you for the review! I was reluctant at first because of the price...but OMG! So worth it! I love it!

Your review of this is amazing! I'm so happy for Mariola Budek to be getting the much deserved recognition. Your commentary describing how and why the drawings inspire you are lovely and give the review a lot of personality ❤ As someone said - the Eagle (white eagle) is a symbol of Poland Helena is from Henryk Sienkiewicz's book "Ogniem i mieczem" and the picture is an actual portrait of the actress Isabela Skorupco who played her - it's a promotional image Le Coeur en Cendres = Heart in Cinders . . . Cendrillon = Cinderella in French . . . I'm not sure it's inspired by her . . .

Thank you for the flip through, the pictures are beautiful. I'm not brave enough yet to do colour hair or skin, but I'm happy that a Polish artist gets recognized abroad. Yes, a white eagle with a crown on a red background is the Polish coat of arms. Also, the flowers that she is holding in her hand are poppies and daisies, which can be coloured in white and red - again, the national colours of Poland and of our flag. The picture Le Couer en Cendres was meant as a tribute to the Notre-Dame cathedral after the fire in April.

I really Adore Mariola Bedek Book, but to get the Book for peoples who live to Canada well it's $ 61.00 Dollars, so i put it on my wish list and fingers cross for this Fabulous coloring Book will be mine somedays lol! This book is so Unique and love the way Mariola Buils it she's a Phenomenal Artist and each penny is worthes to get this incridible book!

This is a very unique presentation of coloring images; she kept the colorist in mind at every turn. I like this format of using a sliding binder clip, it looks like a book, "spine" and all, but allows you to select individual images without the worry of damaging the other pages; and the paper looks luscious, as if it could handle any medium you throw at it. Wow Claire. Such a beautiful book. I want it. The portraits are just fantastic. I love her work too, so realistic. I adore faces and i want this book like yesterday. lol. love these colouring pages and i also really liked your tutorial with the panpastels i ordered some after watching. Did you see Dede willinghams tutorial with both the mariola budek pages and the panpastels it was amazing.also i brought some metalic paints after watching your tutorial on them too im so glad you share all these things ive learnt some really good tips from your work thank you
