Hi Kelly. Thanks very much for the video. It was a big help as I also have a 1966 182J. For some reason following your video worked out just fine but my previous attempts failed due to having long range tanks that Foreflight wouldn't recognize. Very curious where in your POH is the COG diagram that shows up at 4:37 in your video. My POH doesn't have it. Thanks again for your help.

I actually have the original factory paperwork when they did the original W&B. It was included in that documentation. The operators manual (POH) that I have did not include an envelope as you stated. This is a great question! I'll have to dig in to how it can be developed from scratch, as in your situation. Maybe I can come up with something. Thank you!

@@ExperimentalAdventure Thanks for getting back! Was really scratching my head where you got that chart. Really lucky for me you did the video with the same model plane as me. Thanks again!

Hello, thanks for sharing, i still have a Problem, in the notices área of foreflight says "No Forward CG limit is defiende at the máximum takeoff Weight.... i´ve done everything as you Said and no way i can move Forward.. .any ideas ? Thanks PS: my envelope looks really different from yours, also a C182P..

Is your Max weight 2950 for the 182P? You can look at at your POH find your envelope to see at what data point that is (ex: 39"). That would be the numbers at the bottom of the POH.

Where can I find the station arm information for my c172b?
@ExperimentalAdventure3 жыл бұрын
Normally you would find those in your POH somewhere near the Weight and Balance section but I have seen them towards the front of the POH also. Hope this helps!

@@ExperimentalAdventure thanks for the reply. My 172 is a1961 which doesn’t give this info. I can do a weight and balance calculation but I don’t know how to get the station arm that ForeFlight wants.

So that year model will have an "owners manual" which is now known as a "POH" in the newer planes. I did some searching and found an old owners manual online, and they give the moment and weight but not the arm. You can extrapolate the arm by dividing the weight by the moment, and that will give the arm for each station. Hopefully you have this information in your owners manual and you should be good to go! Example: Basic empty weight = 1673, Moment = 66,920. So 66,920/1673 = 40 (40 would be your arm). These are just random numbers by the way.
