I was wondering the exact same thing! So I went and tried it out but sadly it had crashed my wifi not to sure if I did something wrong. I didn’t really have the time to try to look for a solution since others in the household were dependent on the wifi. So I’ll try again when it’s not

I’m using the AP mode. My original connection speed is 100mbps. But in AP mode of this extender, I am getting only 10mbps. But If I plug the same lan cable into my laptop I’m getting around 70mbps. why is that?

The ideal thing to do is to hardwire the extender to your main router, making it an "access point." Keep in mind, the distance of the extender should be halfway between the router and dead zone.
