untrue. He died because his techniques were too straight forward and therefore easy to counter. If he'd developed more sinister techniques to defeat sentient opponents (such as a Flickering Flame strike) then he may have survived this encounter.

@@TheThunderthEwondeRNtheLass You don't know what your talking about, At the start of the fight he was deifinitely fighting defensively to protect everyone around him. He only that that all or nothing attack after losing an eye, having broken ribs and damaged internal organs. At that point he was just delaying the inevitable. The last strike at least held Akaza there long enough to protect everyone else or might have even killed him. Maybe if he had gone all or nothing from the start while still at 100% he could have taken Akaza with him but if he didn't then everyone else there would be done for so he fought on the defensive till he was basically on his last stand

@@seunemmanuel3142 you are missing the point. Im not saying he could/should have won necessarily.. What i'm saying is his personality was in conflict with real victory versus a thinking adversary. The point of killing him was to show that to the audience. You can't just be good and honest and expect to survive. That's what rengoku's death is suppose to help you understand. Did you notice it? His mom gave him the wrong advice. It isnt enough to just be a shield for the weak. you enable their weakness and limit your growth if you think that way. It's time to evolve our understanding of what it means to be strong.

What are u talking about lol rengoku never took akazas head off. Tanjiro did and tanjiro ended up tapping into abilities rengoku couldn't. Without tanjiro giyu would of been dead. If tanjioro was as strong as he was in thw infinty castle he would if saved rengokus life that night.

English is my third language and it's hard for me to quickly read and understand the subtitles without pausing, so I watch it in english dub. It's still really good though, especially if comparing to other anime dubs. I liked some voices even more than the japanese ones

The acting and the emotion in the english vjason are just as good. I always watch both. And I have to say the english version of rengoku is very enjoyable, Tanjiro As well. In the japanese version whenever tanjiro Said oh, snap that ruined it for me.Nobody back then said oh snap.
