I hate comparing the two. They both have incredible, unique qualities. Seth has a warm, butter-like voice that just glides its way into your heart. One of those that you could listen to forever and be content. While Scott's voice is so believable and reassuring. It penetrates your soul in such a way that he makes you think about what he's saying because he honestly believe it. Love these men...

+heather b God the feelings I get listening to this.First time on my own, selling everything and only having enough to fit into a osprey kestrel pack. I gave my dog away to my friend's family. I couldn't take her with and it broke my heart. She was a beautiful blue doberman, tall and strong. I had to leave Indiana though. No matter what. The bus never showed up so I snapped. I'm not waiting any longer. Midway bound found a couple of tickets one way as my only friend drove in the dark to the Gary bus stop. Didn't show there either. So midway bound, 5 am, between the smokes, and reminiscing on the times me and him shared. Knowing it would all come to an abrupt end. Not knowing if I'd ever come back I have him the things I couldn't take with me to remember me by. I had my going away party the week before in a garage. Music, beer pong and smokes. 4 or 5 of my closer friends. We had a blast doing all the goofy things young guys do. Dick and fart jokes, gay jokes, you know how we are. Music playing loud and getting rowdy she walks in. I almost didn't think she would have come. We had gotten so close growing up. She of course had a loyal relationship with another back then. I wasn't going to step on toes. I respected her. Remembering all the times we shared, how one day I was missing my father after he passed away. All she did was hold my hand during that car ride. She came in to kiss me that day but of course being the person I am. I turned away for fear she'd regret her choice. I told her how I really felt about everything that night as we polished off the 2nd case of beer and everyone went to bed. She'd changed completely but the feelings were still there. They always will be. The love for the girl that once was. I kissed her that night. I told her that she meant everything to me. I'd stay here if only she would ask. She stayed quiet and pulled me in closer. Never speaking a word to me, kissed me passionately. We didn't make love that night. No matter how badly I wanted to be entangled in her arms. No matter how badly I wanted her to say "Stay here with me. I've always felt the same way" She never said a word. She left that morning after an hour of sleep to go to work. Still wearing my gold and black watch 2 times too big for her wrist. I didn't need it where I was going any way. Maybe she'll look at it and realize how much I mean to her. Maybe she wont. I wont regret not kissing her any more. My only one regret. I walked onto the plane, the freezing cold piercing the walkway on that mid February morning. I'd never even been on a plane, let along an other state by myself. I had no idea where I would go from Portland. It didn't matter I wasn't thinking about that. What I was thinking about was how weird it was to come to terms with how she would never admit she felt the same way. How maybe if I.....no. She doesn't want me. I tried to see her again before I fully left. All she was worried about was if I still had my scotch. She's changed. I know, I know, I'm just so damn lonely running is the only way to feel alive any more. She was beautiful inside and out. Her hippy style, the way she was just in touch with feelings I had almost forgotten. Oregon did me right though. If only I didn't have to come back to this place. If only she realized how much she's changed, and not for the better. If only I'd realize, this is the ways it has to be. If only I'd realized. Her name was JOHN CENA

It's hard to watch somebody whose heart is breaking. This is a gentle & sensitive soul who tried so hard to be noble & do the right thing. A soul mate only comes along once in a lifetime if you're lucky. I hope your torture has ended & that your chosen one is 1/2 the person you are. God speed to you Seth.

So many songs that stir the soul and call to your spirit. Goose bumps - Throat lumps - Tears. The Avett Brothers surpass Jackson Browne and any other song writers that touch your soul. There are no words but Thank You!
@ericfreeman26638 жыл бұрын
They are great! (I have seen them 12 times live) but they have a few roads to walk before they can fill Jackson Browne's shoes. That doesn't take anything away from them, the Avetts and Isbell are both like modern Hemingways-if he could sing.

My boy used to get real silent in the car when this came on in the middle of the "mignonette" days. He had to say goodbye to the one girl he always wanted on different occasions, partly because of her schooling, and partly because he wasn't right with god and himself yet. I'm happy to say that he is on track, and she has returned...returned to him
