Fuck that record!… we keep the main thing the main thing. Too many people are playing into their emotions with this topic. We signed saquon to help us get over the hump of winning another superbowl not to break a record that been standing for 40yrs. Don’t get me wrong I would love for him to do it. But not at the risk of going into the playoffs short of any of our key contributors to this team. Take the week off and go impose your will against whoever is in front us. Let’s not forget some of these guys are a little banged up. They could use a little break.

You play the starters until the last 10 minutes in the second quarter. If we make running the ball the emphasis. This game saquon will break the record in 13 carries. All he needs to do is break off two big yard play runs one for 50, and one for 55. Then pull the starters. The record isn't just for saquon. It's for the organization, the franchise, the record. At this point, just play saquan with the backups. rest the rest of the starters. If he wants to record chase then let him. If he gets hurt then cut him after the year. Get someone else. Yes he’s great but you need a whole team with one focus. True greatness comes organically in big moments. It’s an individual record, not a team record.

It's not a meaningless game if your team is playing like trash. You need reps not rest if there are glaring problems you need to try and fix. Regardless AJ's injury wasn't why the Eagles lost in the playoffs. We all saw how bad the team was playing. Also, Lions played their starters in a meaningless game last night and no one got injured. It's all anecdotal.

The Eagles the last two weeks are showing signs of being a team that's mentally and physically worn down,especially along the offensive and defensive lines. This week should've been treated like a bye week for the starters. Give them a few days off from practice and sit them this week vs the Giants. Let them recoup mentally and physically as much as possible. The Eagles began a 10 straight game win streak going off a bye week. The week off did wonders. Also, for the last two decades I've heard how big having a week in the playoffs is. You can heal and rest . What's the difference here. The Eagles need to heal and rest up.
