I just ran it yesterday for my first time! I got surfed in purgatory but to be honest, it really wasn’t bad. I had watched this video a while ago and that’s how I managed to get out so easily. Thanks for this tutorial! Cheers

Nice video. Very easy to celebrate too early after the initial drop. I did so right into purgatory and had fun surfing my way out. The whole time I was thinking, "great, someone just busted their boat here yesterday, am I really trying to repeat it?" :)

Loving your river breakdowns - helps me assess rapids in my part of the world.

Thanks for watching!!! The WORMS breakdown can be applied broadly to lots of rapids, I dig it!!

I’ve just been getting into whitewater kayaking, learning in the Elora Gorge. One day I hope to get to the Ottawa, these videos are inspiring my journey. And one day might be very useful. Thank you.

Thanks for watching! That WORMS break down is a really useful tool for all rapids! Keep it up!!!

The Chute at high water reminds me very much of Lower no name.

Excellent content 😎 If there’s one thing I’d like to see it’s probably some drone footage of the paddler going down the rapid, to get some scale. I know the Ottawa is big volume, but never having been anywhere near it and only having the UK to compare it to Id really find some scale and perspective useful. Keep up the good work, man. Like I said, ‘excellent content’ 👍🏻

Thanks for watching! unfortunately I didn't have a helper to film for me on this one, but I get what you are saying. Volume wise this rapid is quite a bit compared to most UK rivers, I couldn't think of the nearest comparable tbh. Interestingly it is on the middle channel of the Ottawa so the lower volume channel of the river.

why cant you just go left of the island? I've never been to the river btw. also, thought on the new sony camera?
@SethAshworth4 жыл бұрын
It is possible but not super easy to make it left. Like I said I just outlined what I think is the easiest like. It is not the only line out there. New song camera do you mean A7s3? Looks sweet. Not in my budget for this year though. Plus my computer wouldn’t be able to work with the files. The drone stuff is already hard enough on it. Thanks for watching!!!

What program do you use to edit your video files homie??? KK
@SethAshworth4 жыл бұрын
Adobe premiere pro. It’s pretty decent but there are free programs that are meant to be as good.
