DIY 10x12 Shed Siding and Trim

The 10x12 shed is ready for siding. We are using Hardie fiber board siding with miratec trim batten strips. To install this we use a jig saw with carbide tip blade to cut through the concrete siding. Galvanized Spiral nails are used to fasten the siding to the building. The Miratec trim is installed over the seams of the concrete siding and between to give a nice finished look.

How would you attach these panels to a metal shed?

Probably defeats the water flow strategy, but I much, much prefer to miter the trim pieces around corners ... particularly when framing out the windows with trim. The mitered corners just add a lot more finish to the look. However, that's not intended to be a critique of your work ... which has been awesome to watch.

Question. The trim is flush with the siding. Except for the base trim which is slightly proud? Is that why you added the osb strip at the bottom? Please and thank you.

Yes we added that osb on the bottom because the Z channel flashing needs to stick out under the siding on top of the lower trim.
