QD: going to do my first 1/2 marathon (virtua amaco in Houston) started running in March as the pandemic was starting and decided to pick up a new hobby. Went from 0 cardio to where I am now. Down from 250 lbs to 184 this morning. I appreciate your enthusiasm and demeanor to inspire people to do better and help push me to to try my hand at the full next year.

I did my HM tuneup race for a marathon a couple of months out and it worked out great. It was a similar course and it built my confidence. I think that was the main benefit. Your form there is a joy to watch. With the switch to sea level and the rest you’re gonna crush it! Martha. PS executing weekend running plan while watching your video-1 hr 15 min easy run on the treadmill.

So lucky to have access to so many tracks! Here in the UK ours are limited and often controlled by local clubs, my club track has been closed since March 2020 to non elite runners due to COVID, pretty strict here at the moment, we can only train once a day outdoors, races are not allowed. Looking forward to seeing how you race, good luck 🤞

Just curious if you are concerned about the temperature difference between what you are used to in training vs the temperature/humidity in Florida?

Winters in florida don't have high humidity. Especially on the gulf coast thanks to the ocean breeze keeping the temperature down. Its warmer than snowy weather up north, 50-60°f all week. I got home after sunset yesterday and was chilled to the bone. Perfect mid day running weather.

This morning I skied my longest ski training ever and hit the Marathon distance right on. 2:26:57. My Marathon running is 2:23:20. Hard to believe I did that in my youth. Great ski session though. I've ski raced many 50k's

Hi Seth, you often talk about you right elbow. Looking at the shot of you running at the beginning of the video, I don;t think the "issue" if any is coming from the arm - I think it might stem from your back posture , not running as tall as you could, which in turns affect shoulder position being crunched forward and consequently arm balancing... I have no credential or experience in biomechanics nor am I an elite runner. Just providing my 2 cts . Love your vlog!

Moderate pace 20-22 miles on Saturday (did 21.5 @ 6:33 pace), 12-13 easy cruise on Sunday pushing my son in the stroller to finish off about 81-83 miles for the week 👍

The Naples course is absolutely gorgeous not that you’re going to be enjoying the scenery but it’s really nice. You should stay at the Inn on Fifth as it’s right there and you walk out of your hotel room to the start line.

:QOD: Just an easy long run (for me about 9-10 miles). First mile with my oldest, she wants to train for her first junior triathlon. Then the second mile with the youngest, who needs to learn how to cycle. Then an easy 7-8mile jog at 6:30-7 mins/km just the legs ticking over.

My man was to do a 10K long run today and then an hour bike session Sunday but my legs have out 3k into the long run. I'm a doctor and I've been trying to get back into the running scene and increase my mileagem currently at 15k per week. With the 10 k I would have done 21 this week but my calves gave out. Did a tempo run on Tuesday and a 7k light run yesterday and my legs joynused to that amount of mileage although it's not a lot like a lot of you seasoned runners here. So I'm hoping I can feel better nwith two days off

QD: On Saturday afternoon I did a recovery run 10.5K at very easy pace because I was doubling on Friday afternoon/evening totaling 26K of which the latter 16K was a fast workout. So on Sat. I just rest and try to recover. On Sunday I am going to do a 32K LR.

No long run this week for me, this is my first week back since I've been allowed to stop self isolating after having COVID. So this week has just been a nice easy 15 mile week just to ease myself back in and start rebuilding my fitness, going to work back up to 45 miles per week sensibly then start trying to improve on that.

QD: did a 10.5K easy run in -14°C today 🥶✌🏽. Too cold, too much snow, too much ice. BUT it’s my 2nd longest run since I injured my knee at the beginning of November so I’m still happy about it, and my knee didn’t fully lock itself on this run - just some slight pain after 7km (I have an appointment at the hospital the 20th so they can figure out what’s wrong and how to fix it lmao just my luck that things are starting to feel better just before I’m going to the hospital 🤦🏽♀️😅).

Did a 30 min recovery this morning (it was chilly at minus 3 celcius) Doing a 1 hour "Kenian hill" training this afternoon. Which is pretty difficult in the Netherlands so I'll be running up and down a landfill turned into a golf course. Tomorrow a 1,5 hour easy run on a trail Got to get ready for that first marathon.

I dont really know a lot about biking, but if anyone can help me out: is it a good idea to do around a 2.5-3 hour bike if you are relatively new to biking? QD: just got over a 7 month battle with Achilles tendinitis and not out from running again with a bad sprain to the left foot/ankle. So no running plans but I can bike so I’ll be hitting the indoor trainer on my road bike.
