Just purchased a set (PL1/ND4/ND8) off the back of this video...ND8 got rid of the horrible jello, now I can finally enjoy this bloody Phantom 3 Standard! Cheers dude.

if youre shooting at 30 fps, your shutter should be at 60 (double the fps, rule of thumb) then you can choose which nd filter to put on. otherwise, great video

8 stops or not ,the ND 16 was nicest for me and looked really smooth.. One of the best filter demos I have seen... Great work..

The ND 16 is a must for me. Filming water falls for a example, the ND-4 and ND 8 over expose really bad trying to maintain lower shutter speeds. To be honest a ND-16 over exposes on some bright days around water. When keeping iso at 100 and shutter speeds double the frame rate.

There is somehow no logic how brightness and color changes with higher ND-number...but would have loved to see your footage with gradient filters too :)

AWB looked off on the ND16 ... too "cool" .. perhaps if you went Custom and set it to maybe 4.5K .. Would be interesting to repeat this and instead of AWB set to custom at 5K. To me, the ND8 looked like the best balance. Have a set of PL/ND4/ND8 coming soon. (ordered the wrong ones from Amazon and got the ones for the P3S, instead of for the P3A/P3P). Very informative! Cheers!

I used AWB to keep it simple. Ill try messing around with the WB see how it looks. Thanks for taking the time to check our video.

It seems that ND 16 is the winner as it was able to lower shutter speed to double the frame rate. check out my work. eai27272.wix.com/ethanzdronez#!portfolio/c1han

I use the ND 8 the most. ND 16 over water helps with the glare I find.
@MrMosinNagant19378 жыл бұрын
it can be corrected in editing though. Better to be dark and under exposed than to be over exposed because you lose more detail if it is over exposed. At-least with it being darker you can gain some back.

What size video are you filming in? What shutter speed are you using? And what were your color setting on the drone? Thank you. I have been having a hard time getting them right.

why the ND 16 looks so weird ? As in darker than 8 and producing blue effects

Nice video, trying to decide if I need to get the full set up to ND64 for the really sunny days. What do you think, have you had occasions when you can't get that lower shutter speed with just ND16? Thanks
@SethmanSlash8 жыл бұрын
+Audi R8ATE yes i have ran in to times were the ND 16 over exposes. Mostly when im shooting over water.

Whats going to happen if i set 1/15th shutter speed and 30 FPS? More video blur?

Yes. The lower the shutter speed, the smoother the video will seem, which will cause motion blur.
